I seen some people assume the leader skills in WC4 are useless because they were useless in WC3. Now let me tell you WC4 is a different game and the skill in WC4 actually does "critical damage". You do damage you won't normally do.
To show this I will use Manstein in the 1939 conquest to attack the french bunker and record damage. normal damage 66, 71, 68, 69, 66, 69, 65, 63, 71, 70, 75, 69, 65, 68, 67, 73, 75
panzer leader 111, 116, 113, 120, 118
Thats an average increase of nearly 50 damage!
Of course this is a deliberately good example of when this skill is really good but my point is you can't just dismiss the leader skills as useless any more. General and skill recommendations/analytics/ratings need to be revised in light of this new information.

That could make Leader skill one of the best skills in the game in fact!

Peng (5 star inf) on motorized inf attack motorized inf normal damage 61, 62, 52, 56, 60, 61, 61, 51, 59, 58, 54, 61, 61, 51, 52, 60, 54, 61, 52, 56
infantry leader 76, 71, 76
Hmm. We still need to find out how this skill works well. Maybe its best with high damage units? Maybe the skill accuracy/raider/armored assault has a big effect on it?

Maybe other skills (for example Plain fighting etc) play a part as well...

It seems that Fleet and Inf leader skills are not the best IMO. With only a ~20 extra damage, ON CHANCE is still doesn't feel as reliable as a constant dmg boost.
Unless you're the kind who saved and tried for Assault Art in EW4.

Is it possible to see whether or not Zhukov/Manstein have medals of any kind?

Unless you're the kind who saved and tried for Assault Art in EW4. I would not count out those skills just yet. The low increase is due to the generals I used for testing those skills are sub par to the generals I used to test artillery and panzer leader. Manstein and Zhukov are top of the line generals with 6 star on their best troops and loaded with other skills. I could not find other better general with infantry/fleet leader that was already in a position to attack on first turn in the conquest.

To see if the normal damage effects the damage leader skill gives I will deploy Auchinleck on a armoured car and attack assault infantry. I will than repeat for medium tank and see if there is a big difference. Campaign used is axis 3
Armoured Car Normal 55, 53, 65, 72, 72, 63, 60, 63, 56, 63. Stopped recording here Avg 62.2
Leader 104, 114, 110, 101 Avg 107.25
Difference 45.05
Medium Tank Normal 108, 89, 81, 97, 104, 91, 85, 104, 85, 89. Stopped recording here Avg 93.3
Leader 204, 149, 149, 184 Avg 171.5
Difference 78.2
Yep, it looks like the higher your normal damage was the bigger damage boost the leader skills will give. This makes them very good on high damage generals.

Cross medal (50% panzer leader) gave my Manstein 36% critical chance at lvl 3...I calculated that you maximize the skill at lvl 5 you can get 72% chance... (48% chance plus 24% boost) and with Blitzkreig 90% (with medal) which is incredibally insane 😯 .org/] [/url]

We also confirmed that in Chinese forum, that leader skills give a huge bonus, but not exactly sure how huge, one guess is 50%.
