This seems to be by far the most useful landmark building. The economic and industrial improvements take 10 turns or more to pay for themselves. The tech center gives you as much technology as five cities with level two tech institutes. It lets you build better tanks, artillery and cruisers early on, plus it jumpstarts tech level so you can improve your factories and start pumping out rocket artillery and heavy tanks. I had no problem getting nukes in a later game 1939 conquest with China misty because of the head start I got from early game tech center.

Agreed, I feel this landmark is even more important when playing smaller countries you get very few technology per turn with them.

I'm guessing underground shelter will be nice when you start seeing more nukes in the Cold War. But the other thing about the technology center is that it's cheap. Way less than the economic and industrial landmarks. Those give you percentage boosts which don't pay off for a while. Financial center raises economic output from $80 to $120 in Capitol. The 50 percent boost is nice, but a tech center takes you from 5 tech (if you have level 2 tech center) to 25. That is a 400 percent bonus!

Can you remind me how to unlock this great landmark? Landmarks open by completing exercises/battles in Domination. I don't remember the specific mission that opens tech center, but I think they open in order. I think it's the seventh landmark you unlock. |

1939 conquest is easy with Italy, you first attack the Balkans, which i didn't do, i actuallystarted attacking France, dont do that, spain and Germany hammers the *Auto Corrected* of of France, and then you may attack France, if its anything left, if not, then start invasion of Britain (Operation Sealion) if you want to avoid taking much damage, turn to Dublin and start attacking from there, which i did, that's the reason i actually made an attack on whole Britain, and when you are done with Britain, (i guess you have defeated French and English Troops + Egpyt in Africa by now, if not, do it then, its not hard) after this, you start moving to Canada and Asia (Split Army)
