I finally completed the game. Sun Never Sets has finally been beaten by Mountbatten (WOOHOO!) so now I want to know what you guys thought of the campaign as a whole. What would you rank it out of 10? I would say a 7. The battles were good enough, but the story telling and linking between battles was non-existent. So I would be like: ok I won this, now I am way over here years later?
The number of campaigns was impressive. 6 campaigns with at least 10 stages each is pretty good. The incorporation of bonus objectives/missions was something that I liked. Even though it got a bit nonsensical (Why does everybody want to conquer America wtf?) at times, it was still fairly enjoyable.
The difficulty level on some of the missions was huge. For me, it was namely Battle of Three Emperors, Attack the French (Coalition), Unification of Germany, the entire America campaign, and Hammer and Anvil for Sun Never Sets. It took me so many tries to win these. In fact, I have had the game for months. Since March or April I think.
So these are some of my thought on the campaign. What are yours? Note: Conquest is another thing entirely, and is for another thread.

Overall I like the campaigns, esp the first 4. USA and British campaigns are not very fun but they're challenging. The length and difficulty are about right. The story is OK, given that EasyTech needs to create alternative realities to make a story that a player can keep winning. I realized how good the EW4 campaigns are when I play WC3. I give 7.5/10

The historical parts sometimes don't make too much sense but it's still playable. I liked that there was a separate campaign for Russia/Ottoman Empire. The hardest one for me was America especially the beginning ones because you have weak troops. Overall I would rate the campaign of the game 8/10
