Welcome, it’s been awhile! Yeah, since the new medals came out, along with some progress in strategy, the I mostly shattered the old records. I noted in some prior post that, if WC5 also has a vibrant speedrunning community, we need to lay clear rules regarding IAPs. doubt there'll ever be a wc5. ET aint risking any legal trip ups anymore (and whats a "world" conqueror without China and its related theatres) Was there a rather large legal trip-up? I know they had to make a different Chinese version, but why would that affect US versions? |

I even dont know who is maintaining the list right now - so it probable will take some time to get in the listing. The most elegant way Victory799 , is to create a new threat. I’m now attempting an 8 round 1943 run now that the new medals seem to boost things, and I’ve bought the artillery medal. To get to Spain earlier I put Rommel on a medium tank to sweep through the Balkans faster than Guderian before. Guderian and Rokko switched, Guderian’s extra mobility star allowing me to get missiles a round earlier, and Rokko moves far less than Guderian since he no longer needs to get to Spain. Since Rommel is no longer in China, Zhukov has to do more work in China rather than staying in Korea destroying ships to open ports. Does anyone have suggestions as to how to speed things? The attempt below had poor port luck, so lots of runs would eventually open them. There’s no getting around having to use some air power in Spain and lots in Africa and the South Pacific. The latter two are all luck; each city costs a few hundred. I do believe 8 is possible. It’s not really even a matter of damage, just the mobility to get around the map so quickly. It might just come down to RNG.        |

The new mobility medals will probably shave-off a round, at minimum, of every record here.
8 rounds in 1943 is certain, and 7 might be possible.

1950 world record, 11 rounds (12) old. The strategy changed a decent bit, but most of the improvements come from the new updates.The mobility ribbons mean I can move faster (I have a level 4 infantry, the others are 3), the elite units allow Guderian to hit 400+ damage on a city (he spawned on a level 4 Pershing in the Balkans) and for Dowding/Arnold to ‘teleport’ across the map so they can attack almost everywhere, the Air Force ribbon makes it significantly more likely to land a critical hit for missiles and planes, and inspiration+PF allows Zhukov to hit for 400+ damage as well. I also spent about 10,000 medals during this run to upgrade my infantry health and to switch skills depending on the terrain and sometimes to give Dowding raider to crack a city. The strategy change unrelated to the new updates is to paratroop MacArthur along with Yamashita in the E USSR, and they move together the whole game. The key for 1950 is still to capture Cairo ASAP (round 4) then spawn a tank on the W front and to air raid anything your land units can’t kill.         |
