At a glance WC3 looked much better. After some time seems like both of them have pros and cons. For sure WC4 is not so better that it is worth to quit WC3.

No reason to quit WC3 if you enjoy it, but WC4 offers a lot of new content, improved AI, new challenges, etc.

I myself count WC4 as a huge step forward from WC3, I enjoyed every game easytech has made(except ew5&gog2), so I'd say complete both if you can, it is worth it😏😉

Lol there is so much gameplay left for me to conplete wc3 I can offer a Solomon's decision to you: play both games simultaneously! I installed WC4 only recently but I have to agree with The Light Bringer - it is a (big) step forward. Don't judge the book by a cover, Wc4 looks similar to WC3, but it is a different game in many aspects...

In my opinion WC4 is definitly better than WC3. Just because the AI doesn’t spam anymore paratroopers in Conquests, it’s enough to quit WC3.
More complete, AI slighty improved, you can custom fully your generals, more challenges... no almost everything is better with WC4. I don’t see any reason to return on WC3. In fact, it’s like if you compared an iPhone 3 with iPhone 4.

.org/] [/url] A small thing but in contrast to WC3 I really like the information they give you before a campaign scenario. You WC3 you were thrown into a campaign scenario with some words from a general at the start but it was very little information. In WC4 you get a full briefing which helps gives context to the scenario and you get a battle plan.

And another difference if that EE finally deleted the « Commanders » we had in WC3. So at the start of the game, you don’t have any general until you get one with your medals.

I don't recommend you to stop playing wc3, because I think that wc4 is much harder to win medals. Also I have tried every country in 1939. It's really hard.

I have minimal tech but I found Japan & Italy to be still manageable. Some WC3 tactics can still be applied: Italy is less important than Nazi Germany in the AI's programming, use this to prep in your invasion of France. Wait for enemy gens to fight the Germans before invading France. When playing Japan, it may be wise to blitz through Soviet territory.
