@communist, these are the campaigns I want to see

-added tanks at Kursk
-Aliens' invasion(you play as tehm, and you only have 2-3 xenos to invade london or something)
-vietnamese war
-battle of the Phillipeans
-maybe an epic duel between Guderian and Manstein(not historical but who cares)

All of these can be twisted and will be more fascinating if you are planning to write a script before making campaign

anglo-soviet invasion of iran(on mission as soviets and one as the brits and if you can one as iran to defend tehran and defeat novikov)
soviet jappanese war (one mission set in 1939 and one set in 1945 during the invasion of japan)
battle of iwo jima and okinawa and makin atol and peleliu ( if you played "call of duty world at war" you will know something about them)
and remember that a lot of people are in the mood for modern day
