The title says it all. I only have Messe now. HQ lv 6. I'm too afraid of losing legion.

ALWAYS stack units at least 2X, this ensures higher HP.
Try to divide & conquer enemies, that's how I won invasions with little troops.
Ensure your gen has good skills (eg. RUMOUR). Self-explanatory.
Bring the best units you have. Another self-explanatory tip.
Read existing threads on WC4 invasions, such as the one on naval invasions.

How do you divide and conquer and how is it any different than not doing it? As you know, most land terrains of Invasions include mountains, forests/jungles, rivers,etc. These "natural features" slow down mechanised troops like tanks & arty. Most if not all gens tend to take the lead. As you SHOULD have superior movement, you can avoid the enemy vanguard (basically the gen) & hit the weaker units at the back. The vanguard units tend to be closer to where you lured them to (since they basically are closer to you). By going around this units to flank/outmaneuvre the enemy, you usually change the type of enemies that are closest you (from the strong vanguard to the weaker rear units) as you're in a different place. This opens up a gap between the enemy vanguard & the enemy rearguard, allowing you to have time to kill weaker troops first, rather than allow enemy gen to tie you down for rearguard to reinforce them. TlDr: You can attack weak enemy rear first, avoid strong enemy vanguard from slowing down killing rate.

When I looked at invasions first, they seemed hard to me too. Especially keeping in mind rumour about improved AI. Today I have cleared without gens 2 invasions with 2 medals bonus at HQ level 8, than got level 10 and cleared the last one with 4 medals. AI is totally dumb, doesn't use morale reduction or terrain bonuses, even when morale is already lowered may move to another spot, where morale is not lowered, so on level 5 you can clear 2 medals infantry invasions with assault infantry without any problems, especially if you already have gen. Sure, have a look at enemies before starting - if you just enter invasion and go out without deploying your troops, you don't lose anything.

I just realised that invasion rewards increases as HQ level increases. Reading this I got reminded that during my early game there were invasions with 2 medal rewards. Before reacing HQ level 40, my invasions yield 5, 7, and 12 medals without wonder invasion rewards increasing effect. After HQ level 40, I noticed that it increased to 6, 9, and 12 medals without wonder effect. Is there any data, like a table, to how many medals each range of HQ level's invasions yield? Thanks
