I think that instead of better guides, that all the missions should actually have some sort of guide first.

I completed the game not too long ago and these youtube videos for GoG Pacific were extremely helpful
(middle east etc are there, too)
aiming for Financial Center VII (for field arty spam), Vatutin and your general to become Lieutenant General (3*tank) seems to be crucial
this requires about 5600 medals, half of which you get through perfect victory campaigns and the other half needs to be grinded  |
