I just finished upgrading rumor to lvl 5 for Nimitz and I have one spot for a skill left. I myself was thinking Sailor, Depot Ship or Wolfpack. Which one should I get or is there a better skill for him!

Which one should I get or is there a better skill for him! Sailor. It works as a % to the damage. This skill affects the attack of the unit + all the attack upgrades You will research in the tech tree during Your progress in the game. Means the skill will become better and better.

I do have a question about wolfpack, it says that it increases the damage of surrounding ship units, this does not increase the damage of the unit with the general right? Just the ships that are next to the general.

Just the ships that are next to the general. When I was testing this skill it looked like it works same way as plain/jungle fighting skill - bonus is added to the overall damage. Never cheched how it affects the unit with general, but I think it should work same way as whether there is general or not it is unit anyway In case You mean the unit which is with the general having Wolfpack... Idk, I doubt it affects this unit as description says - surrounding units.

Just the ships that are next to the general. Wolfpack only gives damage to surrounding units. It is useful for invasions, but not so much for scenarios and conquests. I prefer Sailor. Naval units have a ton of HP, and unlike land units, they can’t park for a few turns and heal in a city with supply depot and Field Hospital. The HP bonus you get from Depot Ship is consequently pretty insignificant. A top naval general in a stacked cruiser is going to have at least 1,000 HP. The 15 HP per turn from max level Depot Ship is incredibly insignificant.

Don't worry, I will test skills. Planning on firing Guderian 100 times to get pz leader output, default output, on and on and on. It will be painful, but I found so much help from you guys I want to contribute in some way.

Anyways Depotship could be nice as there are no ways for a ship to heal.

Anyways Depotship could be nice as there are no ways for a ship to heal. At max level, it would take 4-5 turns to recover the damage suffered from one hit by an enemy with no general attached. I think naval units get such ridiculous HP because they have no way of healing. When you are maxed out, you get over 1,600 HP with a general in a stacked cruiser. The 15 HP from depot ship is less than 1 percent of your total health. I don’t see any way that will compare to the 30 percent damage buff you get on every retaliation from max level sailor. That can add up to hundreds of points of damage pretty quickly, particularly when you are holding a port.

Nimitz has a very high damage when it comes to the Fatal blow which was around 194 damages. That is freaking OP for a Naval General.

Sailor and Rumor I would say are two excellent additional skills...

I don’t think it’s a terrible ability, but I think it’s hard to choose it over Sailor.

My Leader hits consistently give larger bonuses regardless of what unit type it is.
