HQ lvl 20, got some basic Pacific War era tech, otherwise generally very bad HQ tech.
*Plays 1939 as Britain, sees Nazi Germany paratroops from Marseille, France into Algiers, French Algeria. Conquest tech lvl at 4* 😱
*Plays 1939, my sub speed at 10, looks at enemy sub stats, speed at 12* 😱
At turn 40 of Britain 1939 conquest, USSR is getting steamrolled, Axis launch Fall Gelb Mach 2, diverts troops from invasion of Hanoi to save India before being forced to defend in Yangon.
Nothing I can do when ALL my $$ is used to defend.

1939 is very unfair for the allies. Even Bulgaria is possible without general.

The 1939 world war is supposed to be unfair for the allies. It is proven historically. What were you expecting? USSR To steamroll Germany? China to steamroll japan. Then where would you come in?

Well actually I gotta disagree with you here, Soviets had overwhelming men and so did China. Though the Germans did steamroll France, they never steamrolled USSR.

They did in the first weeks of Barbarossa. Unlike WC4, they never took Moscow.

What's worse is that I am seeing high HQ & conquest tech lvls.
A paratroop all the way from Marseille to Algiers? Said paratrooper is a PMI to make things worse.
To be honest, even my 1st ever WC4 conquest as Japan was a struggle to break Allied strangleholds on myself. Meanwhile, Allied nations are slowly steamrolling my Axis allies.
Furthermore, I barely held my expanded borders when playing Nazi Germany (I probably "miraculously" got Manstein killed). This shows even as Axis nations, 1939 conquest still are challenging.

In my playthrough as Germany all my pre-spawned generals lived till the very end except Guderian, Model and Keitel. Yes, Japan was destroyed but my European Allies did surprisingly well. Italy got southern France with minor help from me and Graziani took Stalingrad by himself. Bulgaria got Yugoslavia and half of Egypt. Spain held the American invasion and even killed Eieenhower before he could touch European soil and Romania/Hungary managed to defend against the Soviet counterattack.

I have no luck with my allies in conquests, they all are terrible and unless I donate huge sums of money they always lose. That is why I rarley play conquests since no matter what you always have to conquer the world on youre own since youre allies lack any military sense, though if you switch sides you will notice those idiotic allies suddenly becomlypowerful warmongers

I feel like there's an income nerf or a really lousy allied AI.
I noticed this from my 1939 Britain conquest: During the 40 turns where Australia & Eastern Paupa New Guinea were waiting for their turn to strike, I don't really see too many units and powerful units being spawned. Even if I count stacked units, the income their should have is different from what their usage shows. It's either allies took a cut to income &/or they are recklessly spending it on city upgrades that may or may not exist.

I think alied AI is programmed to spend money on city improvements first before troops.
