Huh. We got to fill the void of missing nations. Honestly, its a tall order but I'll take the USA if you don't mind. Germany would be a bit out of my depth and Spain. Well... I don't really know. So how about a possible deal between Russia and USA? Russia would like to repurchase Alaska back. It's up to you, ofc.

... Seriously? Why would America give up Alaska? It all depends on the player of course, but RL and RP facts... let's review them: If I remember correctly, the Alaskan purchase was done in less than 50 years ago, right? And there's still people who are pretty upset with Stewart and "his icebox". It could be politically unpopular in the nation. Russia gave up Alaska because of the difficulty of maintaining a colony like that. It's more viable now I do still have Port Arthur at this point and my possession of Korea gives me perpetual warm-water ports that doesn't freeze over. (and no more Russo-Japanese war!) We did win that war, and quite frankly, I was impossible to be invaded in that situation. I don't think it's silly for Russia to reconsider the possibility of working on the local economy in Alaska and develop it from a wilderness into a profitable colony just like Russia ia doing that right now with Siberia. Because the Trans-Siberian Railway doesn't have to go the long way around Manchuria but simply connect to the Chinese East Railway that is being developed in Manchuria... the TSR should be able to get completed quite earlier than RL. And it did get completed early in this RP after all. And as for the famous Monroe Doctrine about protecting the N. & S. Americas against outside intrusions & invasions. I'm not intruding or invading, right? It's all a matter of diplomatic negotiations. Also right before the RP began in 1901, the famous Yukon Gold Rush faded our quickly only 1-2 years after prospectors arrived in 1898 in favor of new finds in Alaska which followed the same pattern of rapid boomtown growth, transformation, then collapse in a quick few years too. At most, some areas last until 1905 or 1906 then gold mining in Alaska wasn't really active until the 1920s when the prices of gold went through the roof and there was introduction of mechanical mining (made possible by steam or even gasoline) and it could only import the mining machines when the local towns had slowly developed their infrastructure then it was made possible to transport them into Alaska. So at the moment now in 1911, Alaska is dry and faded from the American newspapers' headlines. And funny enough, when the Spanish-American war had happened in RL: "Ah, go to the Klondike!" became a popular phrase to express disgust with an idea for American people to use. Ofc, it's well past that point now.

Alright we got a replacement for Germany. Wilhelm Ritter von Leeb is willing to switch his country from Portugal to Germany. In Summary Papa_Stalin is is the new USA player Hugh III of Burgundy is the new Austria-Hungary player. Wilhelm Ritter von Leeb is the new Germany player If there are no issues the 1912 turn will start tomorrow Just for clarification, are we playing both nations we had or is it a complete change over? Also, Desophaeus the suggestion of buying Alaska would be a rather unwise move to a degree. If tensions rose between Russia and USA/ allies, the Bering strait would be cut off to them. Though the arctic holds little strategic value, it would still provide some form of travel to Canada and northern Russia.

Like 7 months out of the whole year, Northern Russia is IMPASSABLE. The same goes for places like Nome, AK (which is basically the northmost city of Alaska) or Canada's Arctic shores. One does not simply sail into the Arctic Ocean. Don't make me post a picture of Boromir from LOTR in here! Edit: Also were you not listening? Even Vladivostok the Southmost Pacific port (in RL Russia) was NOT ice-free all year round. In the modern times, Russia must use ice-breakers frequently to maintain the passage in and out of Vladivostok. So imagine what's the other side of the Kamatchkita peninsula is like, on the north shore!

Looks like I got through before the change. C: It's more of the issue of power. Japan plus USA is quite strong

True, though you do have to admit that that scenario would be quite interesting...
