ive discovered while playing allies 2 that you dont have to collect all red thinfs in the campaigns. there are 2 options
1. collect and destroy all red cities, generals etc...
2. completely wipe out the enemy
how I discovered it?
I was playing allies 2, the goal of this campaign is to destroy two japanese aircraft carriers and occupie a japanese oil-field. i was playing this but didnt collect the oil-field. however, when i destroyed every single japanese troop. i still got the sign victory

Good to know,always better to have more than just one option, although I imagine doing the objectives is probably simpler most of the time.

I did try this with axis 1.
I destroyed every Polish unit (including Smigly) but I didn't take the capital.
Do you have to take all oil fields and villages too or just wipe out the enemy army?

you have to destroy all units, forts and occupy all cities/ports.
this was possible because i had to conquer an oil field

Oooh I get it, so conquest rules still apply in campaign if I get what you're saying? So you captured all the cities, but your objective was the oil field which you didn't conquer but you still won... interesting. Gotta try this myself.

No the units don't have to die. That's just in EW4

Tried, and it's like NetherFreek says... I left the oil untouched and destroyed all the Japanese fleets, and...poof...victory. |
