Preparations are finalized this year for the conquest of Southeast Asia to occur next year. First, in order to have a closer base for operations, the government deicdes to take Macau from the Portuguese; its location is more ideal to launch incursions into Indochina, and the Portuguese are too weak to attempt to take it back. 30,000 troops are sent from Taiwan to secure the city, escorted by 6 battleships. Given that Macau's population is only ~80,000 at this time, a 6 will be needed to fully bring the city under our control.

Somehow, the Portuguese manage to hold the city, costing the Japanese 5,500 casualties. No matter, a second attempt is tried after the Japanese regroup. A 5 will be necessary now.
This attempt is much more successful, with the Japanese conquering Macau with only a few hundred casualties. After the battle damages are repaired, military facilities and bases are established on the outskirts of the city, capable of holding up to 80,000 soldiers by the end of the year, with more expansions due before the invasion commences next year. The city is quickly granted a seat in the Diet and granted full rights of Japanese itizens in order to pacify the population of the city. Efforts are put into modernizing Taiwan more; as the future link between Japan and its holdings in Southeast Asia, it must be able to handle lots of boat transportation and cargo shipments. The island's harbors are expanded, Taipei is developed more, and troops are sent to crush the few aboriginal people still opposing Japanese rule.

Balloons have been completely phased out of military use by now in favor of the hikokis.
The Japanese military has realized the need for a machine gun for future military successes in an ever-evolving technological world. Several models are purchased from European countries, broken down for analysis, and after weeks of work and development, the first Japanese light machine gun is ready for testing. It needs a 7 to be successfully tested.
Unfortunately, the machine gun explodes while firing, burning a scientist. The cooling problems are addressed, and another gun is prepared. It needs a 6 to work this time.
The gun is a success. Named the Okinabumu-01, it is manufactured for use in every regiment. But taking it one step further, two guns are attached to the wings of a hikoki, to try and create the first attack plane. (needs an 8 to work)
Unfortunately, when the pilot attempted to fire, the bullets ricocheted and tore him and the plane to bits. The position and strength of the guns is adjusted, and another attempt is made. (needs a 7 now)
The plane successfully manages to fly and fire its guns without killing the pilot. The world's first ganhikoki has been made. On another note, hundreds of artillery pieces are manufactured, bringing the total number of pieces to 400 by the year's end. More hikokis and ganhilokis are produced to ensure Japan's aerial superiority.
Economy
The money Japan is making from Manchuria starts flowing in, helping with the military production and other development at home. By now, much of Korea is starting to resemble Japan. More bills are passed to try and bring Japanese peasants out of poverty, and more money from the Americans is used to further the Japanese domestic improvement efforts.
World
The Tarō Declaration is issued. In summary, it declares Japan as "protector of east Asia from all evil powers". Any attempt to unfairly exploit or interfere with the business of the Japanese, the Chinese, or any other native people of East Asia will "be swiftly and harshly dealt with by the Empire of Japan". However, the declaration also states that the Empire is willing to cooperate with whoever will work with Japan to create a better Asia. Meanwhile, fully aware that much of the world is at odds with the United States, Japan declares neutrality in regards to America. While their guarantee of Japanese independence is appreciated, the Japanese feel that they are more than capable of ensuring their own independence. ···········

Italy 1905 (late) Economic- due to recent spending taxes for the middle and upper classes will be raised 15%. Silver has been mined from british colonies and I'm willing to sell. Military- greace has shared the design for a lighter, faster machine gun. A new tactic will be tought where A large number of troops will quickly advance and set up machine guns fast with artilary support in an effot to cause casualtys and weeken defences. A new desighn for a battleship is made (based on dice) we hope to - reduce crew needed to -reduce size withoout power -amout of bombs/artillery (what ever is fired) fired per minute BfKhk7ZD. Greece 1905
Political: A new couple of laws/reforms are made. The first one is Discussion Of Idea. It is that any ideology that does not harm the people is considered legitimate and can be discussed. The second one is militia law. The people are to be trained in the case they must fight in there own land.Socialist movements are rising.
Social/Society: The Greek schools have worked to stabilize the society to an extent. A roll to determine how well it is now is in place.7ymyJ1xM Also the Baby Campaign will be rolled as of now Like the poverty control laws they are in the medium. Joshua is happy that progress has been made. The socialist attempt to gain support but no one sees the "Evil Bourgeoisie" they ramble about as a lot of people have been brought up in wealth. People are starting to partake in Fashion so a law is put in place they cannot wear fashionable clothes to work if it is labour or An outfit is provided.
Economy: The project has been seen again last year and it went tremendously well. The famine has also passed and trade is as good as ever. As the Infrastructure project comes to a closing a railroad project to make travel very quick throughout the nation. Not much else in current reports is made.
Air Doctrine: The final experiments are made. The finishing trial is made again. It landed right before hitting the goal. now a 6 is required as trial and error has made us enlightened on what we can do. finally! It is put in service and tests to arm it are made. an 8 is required for a succesful test. The guns jammed as they fired but the pilot did not die. Test 2 is made and an 8 is still required. Success! Though just barely it will be improved every year. 20 are sent to all allies of Greece. By the end of the year about 300 are made. Pilots are trained for war.
Naval Doctrine: With the receiving of the new ship Greece offers one of the Spartan class dreadnoughts to Spain.2 more ports will be built. 1 Dreadnought. 2 Modern destroyers and 2 submarines were added along with the new Italian ship were added to the navy. More recruits into the Marine Corps were added now numbering about 7.7K.
Land Doctrine: The artillery will be researched now and a roll (Requiring the same as the machine gun) will be made. absolute failure. Will be continued next year. The partisans are trained along with the military. Machine guns are produced as fast as possible to make sure men have enough to sustain themselves when they break. Not much else has been done.
Foreign: Not much except a neutral stance on the Crisis is made.

Brazil 1906:  Political: Dom Ludovico returns to Rio de Janeiro in February to a hero's welcome. His Bolivian Campaign is widely celebrated and becomes a source of great national pride. Dom Ludovico informs the House of Representatives that he has formed the Principality of Andea and requests their permission to officially declare him O Protetor (The Protector) of the new Principality. The House by and large sees this as a power grab, and thus it will take a 7 for Ludovico to be made O Protetor. gZEH3fanThe House votes against Ludovico's proposal and Dom Ludovico is furious. This newfound tension between the Legislature and the Emperor worries many, leading to the formation of two distinct political parties. While other parties like the Plutocristas and Nativistos have been founded already, this new division leads to the formation of the two main parties: 1. The Imperialistas: The Imperialists believe in increased Imperial authority and autocracy. They also support industrial and military expansion. In terms of diplomacy, the Imperialistas take a firm neutral stance in the Monroe Crisis, but support the fulfillment and retention of the Monroe Doctrine and the Ampudia Doctrine. They are also more favorable to nations such as Germany and Russia due to their autocratic positions. 2. The Liberalistas: The Liberals believe in increased powers for the House of Representatives, an end to the Plutocratic Senate, and that the Emperor becomes a figurehead in politics. They support agriculture more than industry and favor more pacifist policies. Diplomatically, the Liberalistas side with America in the Monroe Crisis and are more favorable toward nations like America, Britain and France due to their liberal positions. In 1906, an election occurs. Due to the jubilation caused by Ludovico's victory in Bolivia, the Imperialistas are going to take most seats in the House. The Plutocristas will have a majority in the Senate, however, due to the fact that only the rich vote for Senators. Nativistos will gain a few seats in the House, but none in the Senate. Breakdown of Seats: Senate (100 Seats): Imperialistas-19 Liberalistas-7 Plutocristas-74 Nativistos-0 House of Representatives: Imperialistas-253 Liberalistas-174 Plutocristas-2 Nativistos-6 The Imperialista Majority in the House leads to the passing of a bill which requires that at least 5% of the entire Brazilian budget be dedicated to the military. This leads to an increase in technological innovation. The import of foreign weapons and the increased military budget means that a 6 is needed to catch up to the world and acquire machine guns: Machine guns are created and begin being produced. The Brazilian military then begins testing flamethrowers, which is funded by businessmen and the Plutocratista Party as they want it to burn down trees in the Amazon so they can build on the land. Flamethrowers are much more complicated to make, however, so a 9 is necessary to create flamethrowers: A shocking failure. This amazing failure, which resulted in the gruesome deaths of 3 Brazilians who were working and testing on the device, leads to the Brazilian military halting research on flamethrowers for at least another year. Economic: Brazil's industry is booming. Now 20% of all Brazilian firearms are made in the nation. Machine guns are now being produced throughout Brazilian factories and are now being offered for export to foreign nations. Textiles, tires and belts for assembly lines. Amazonian settlers harvest vast amounts of rubber from the area, and coffee plantations bring in vast amounts of revenue for the nation. Cotton plantations dot the land in the Northern states of Nordeste and Bahia. The Plutocratistas block all laws proposed in the Senate for better working conditions or outlawing of child labor. Extremists in the party also assassinate an important government official; Secretary of the Treasury Manuel de Tristanza, who had been vehemently pushing for regulations on monopolies. The Plutocratistas cover their tracks remarkably well, and even the government does not know who did it. Jose de Hustena is appointed by Dom Ludovico in Tristanza's place. Social: Immigration continues, and Nativist sentiment rises in the state of Sao Paulo where all 6 of the Nativisto congressmen reside. Communal violence results in the deaths of 25 immigrants in Sao Paulo. The Brazilian author, Pedro d'Orleans, writes an Epic based off of Dom Ludovico's campaign in Bolivia titled the Acread, an allusion to the Iliad and the Aeneid, two Epic poems for the Greeks and the Romans respectively. In the Epic, he borrows many elements from these old Epics, such as divine intervention, destiny, and glory. One famous symbol to come out of the Acread is the Third Army's banner, which is said to prevent the Third Army from facing a defeat in war. Ludovico praises the Epic and provides Pedro d'Orleans the Cross of Cabral, the most honorable award a civilian can receive. Ludovico was said to have bought 5 copies of the Acread, one for himself, one for the Empress, one for each of his 3 year old sons, and one for his unborn daughter. Speaking of which, Empress Vittoria was pregnant again, this time with a daughter. Ludovico, worried of potential assassination or overthrow, decides to formulate a test for his issue to become the new Emperor or Empress. The child (or niece or nephew or grandchild) who did the best on this test would become Ludovico's heir. This way, Ludovico reasoned, the most qualified of his issue would go on to rule Brazil. This gains him the support of much of the Liberalista party, who praise the Emperor's progressive measures. This leads to the beginning of a split in the Liberalista party. In November of 1903, Vittoria gives birth to her third child and her first daughter. She is named Maria I. Diplomatic: Ludovico decides to remain in Rio to witness the birth of his daughter and thus decides against going on yet another campaign. The warrior in him, however, yearns for further glory and conquest. The Monroe Crisis continues to develop, but the Imperialista majority in the House leads to a policy of neutrality with reservations. Those reservations were the preservation of the Monroe Doctrine and the Ampudia Doctrine, which thus far remained unbroken by any Old World power. The Principality of Andea, led by Prince Jose Manuel Pando, establishes itself in the capital of La Paz. Ludovico orders for 5,000 Brazilian regulars to be stationed in the Principality so as to ensure the Brazilian friendly government is retained. 3,000 Bolivian guerrillas still reside in the countryside. ····· |

However, most politicans still wanted to keep its portion of Tientsin without having to lease it. Thusly, the Federal Parliament agreed to fortify Tientsin with 5,000 professional infantry and 10,000 conscripts, along with 50 artillery pieces, 1,000 Garde Civique, 2,500 Force Publique, and 100 cavalry. In order to secure food supply, these troops would be supplemented with hastily armed cargo ships that carried food supplies. If necessary, additional reinforcements would arrive on the cargo ships. The Federal Parliament, upon reading the decree, also instructed those in Tientsin to "resist the tyranny of the Chinese" and to "hold out until our reinforcements arrive". Economic The local Belgian government in Tientsin began to resort to the black market for economy. The Federal Parliament passed more laws concerning regulation, though these are insignificant. Military Although the expansion of the military is taking place, the political crisis over Tientsin has lead the Federal Parliament to agree to expand the military further. It has been reported that a group of kids have been causing a ruckus in Antwerp, making all the local residents quite annoyed. As now there is no France, I will now do France as well as Belgium. Yeah, get ready for some really weird things. For proof that I am totally allowed to do France, ask the mod. And yes, I am going to do the years 1903-1905. 1906 will take place AFTER other countries respond to this. La Troisième République 1903-1905 Political During the years 1903-1904, political turmoil had been occurring as a result of the increased democracy, thus causing France to spiral out of control these two years. If it wasn't for the common belief in a unified French state, it most likely would have separated into multiple states. In the year 1905, the turmoil evolved into a partial governmental shutdown as a result of disagreement over the budget. This ran for a good 6 months as many services were shut down, including welfare and emergency services. The latter half of 1905 saw a civil war break out over differing political beliefs, characterized by a resurgence of the Monarchists (though they too, were separate). These Monarchists (divided into Orleanists, Bonapartists, and Legitimists) were able to gain support of much of the wealthier people and people wanting glory. The Republicans were also split into Radical and the Moderates. The Moderates would control some cities, but not much after that. The Radicals would control much of the countryside. There were also the Liberals, who gained the support of many reformers and their supporters. Corsica, knowing of nothing but of French identity, would fight for themselves. As for Paris, The City of Light would be split into each faction. So began the Great French Civil War. However, all was interestingly quiet for the first six months. Known as the Awkward Truce, each side unofficially agreed to not fight. During this period, each side just stockpiled weapons and readied for war, in addition to awaiting support from foreign countries. Economic International trade has officially ceased, now that the internationally recognized government has collapsed. Local trade still occurs on a smaller scale. Military The French military was also divided proportionally between the factions as so: Orleanists: 58 infantry regiments 30 cavalry regiments 29 artillery regiments Legitimists: 49 infantry regiments 25 cavalry regiments 25 artillery regiments Bonapartists: 5 infantry regiments 3 cavalry regiments 3 artillery regiments Moderate Republicans: 30 infantry regiments 16 cavalry regiments 15 artillery regiments Radical Republicans: 10 mo infantry regiments 5 cavalry regiments 5 artillery regiments Liberals: 20 infantry regiments 10 cavalry regiments 10 artillery regiments Corsica: 15 infantry regiments 6 cavalry regiments 6 cavalry regiments Each faction had similar equipment, though the Monarchists had somewhat more modern weaponry. Over the course of two years, the initiation and construction of a balloon force have been taken into consideration, and a suitable force has been constructed. After the mass eradication of revolutionaries, the curfew that plagued Sofia; has been finally uplifted. Reinstating a new kitchen staff, the Tsar himself can once again fine cuisine that is regularly imported in and out of the higher echelons. The garrison that has been stationed, is converted into a permanent force that will regularly patrol and enforce strict conditions in the Tsardom's capital.
Ferdinand I issues the following statement, about the recent tensions between Austro-Hungary and The United States, "It is utterly inappropriate for a country (United States) to meddle with foreign affairs, I find the situation to be relatively silly, and digresses the excessive usage of prideful endeavors.". Bulgarian controlled Istanbul is promptly renamed Constantinople, and the reconstruction of the Hagia Sofia into a church is initiated. Although it may receive minor backlash from the decently populated Turk population, Ferdinand I presses for the construction.
A balloon initiating a test flight, manned by a single pilot and flanked by a sea of spectators, the balloon would initiate a small low flight scrutinization of the nearby area.

Two years in a row, the industrialization of Germany is kept growing, with the unemployment rate dropping down, and the GDP boosting up!
The growing tension between A-H and USA, the Kaiser has given a speech.
"The Deutschland Reich does not want war, with A-H nor with America. We had enough with guns and blood, and it is time for peace in our world. The empire league will stand strong, protecting the peace of Europe. A-H is a worthy member of the great alliance, and this will stay, this will stay.
America has kept growing, and ongoing, and this is what Germany should learn from the mighty nation. Even though the Empire league stands strong, that does not mean war with the Americans. We want peace. I want peace. Germany wants peace. This will stay."
The Empire tries to dictate more over the nation, to increase the productivity. The Reichstag has very little power over the nation.

Romania 1906
We get funding from Russia to expand our oil refineries in Ploiești. In return a share if the oil will go to Russia and both countries will get profits.
Due to the lack of government in Serbia, the country us being partitioned. Currently Romania wants the most north-eastern parts of serbia. The Vlachs people there have a culture and language similar to Romanians so Romanai would be the best place for them.
King Carlos orders the army to develop their own armored car. Rolling for how well it goes . 7 to have the armored car work and the more the better

During testing the armored car falls apart and the driver is heavily injured. King Carlos is furious at this failure and orders the lead designer to be executed.·
