I don't know if this's been asked before, but whatever.
My question is this: I have 1200 medals, Messe and Leeb. Should I buy Bock, or sell Messe and get Vatutin instead ?
Basically, the real question is "two good generals or three not-so good ones ?".

You could do what I did and go right for Guderian. He can get you through the entire Pacific campaign and many domination missions, giving you about 2,000 medals to spend on whatever you want.

Messe + Leeb is enough to get you the best (non-IAP) tank gen in the game, Guderian.
Just clear some invasions, achievements, 1st conquest clear with A rank... Sooner or later you'll have Guderian.

You need 3 good tank Commanders anyway. Vatutin easily can be one of the 3. Note that there is no difference in price between Vatutin and Bock (because one additional tank star will cost you 680 medals), and Vatutin is stronger. So you have to choose between two strategies:
1. To buy best general (Guderian), then to save for 2 others.
2. To buy 2 others, then to save for Guderian.
I think both ways are possible.

IMO Bock is not worth to buy at all. Vatutin is not so good too, but at least he may be one of your best gens depending on your preferences.

I was in the exact same position, except I was stuck on Axis 3 and I was at the final allies mission. I bought Guderian, easy 3 stars on every Pacific mission. Even on Hard mode. With the exception of getting stuck on last Allied Pacific campaign, I was also stuck on the Axis Pacific campaign 3 as well when I got my Guderian. I guess great minds think alike. |
