Here is the subject at hand, I do not want beast generals from late game, I want to know the best beginning gens, I'm talking right after buying hannibal, no gunpowder or several thousand medal generals, beginner and easy to use generals.

Alexander, Cleopatra, Joan of Arc (bought with resources in Empire), Moctezuma, Hannibal & Huo QuBing should be able to last you until Empire Age.

Barbarossa (nobody likes him ) imo one of the best gens for any team. You can use him in the end-game also at least as the last slot. His skills/abilities are awesome.

Personally I just bought Moctezuma early on and saved all my medals for Nobunaga, he's awesome.

Jebe? Personally I just bought Moctezuma early on and saved all my medals for Nobunaga, he's awesome. I never had Washington (who is a beast as well), but from what I've seen, - Nobunaga is the most useful general in the game... He not only has Leadership and Spy, and his double shot at lvl 6, but his Sniper skill can increase his damage output by another 50% (great help in critical moments). Together with two Leaders (preferably Li and Nelson, but I used Jhansi instead of Nelson most of the time) he will do wonders for you. He doesn't have any weakness: 1. He is powerful. 2. He has excelent personal skills. 3. He has excellent team skills.
