Close, but no. Plato taught Aristotle. Most people get Aristotle and Socrates mixed up, including me a while ago.

Alright, I got a good one. You guys will never guess this one. He was responsible for leading the 6th army at stalingrad. Eventually, he was unfortunate enough to get encircled by the soviets. He surrendered on the same day he was promoted to field marshal. Furthermore, he was the first ever German Field Marshal to be captured to the soviets.
