Afaik the only rules are: no googling the answers; whoever gets the correct answer asks the next question; if nobody gets it then the OP can ask a different one; all new players MUST read every single page of this thread to avoid repetition. Ok, I made that last one up I am a bit guilty of the googling one. Sometimes you remember the dude but forget his first name or something. I am personally a fan of googling as it teaches kids on here to do research early on which is a very beneficial skill Call me old fashioned, but I've always viewed quizzes as a test of knowledge rather than a race to see who can look something up online the fastest. Perhaps we should start a second thread for those who like to search online instead and call it Historical Googling Game? Anyway, I don't wish to derail the thread or start a huge debate. I believe it's your turn, mork73

wait there are rules? apologies if I have broken them but arent they rather arbitrary haha Afaik the only rules are: no googling the answers; whoever gets the correct answer asks the next question; if nobody gets it then the OP can ask a different one; all new players MUST read every single page of this thread to avoid repetition. Ok, I made that last one up ah i see, I didnt research which are landlocked countries though, I only confirmed the definition of landlocked as its an unfamiliar term. I agree with Paulus, research skills are becoming more and more important in today's growing society.

I agree with both sides, since i agree on Iron Duke that research is more of something you need to digest and understand, although i also agree with Friedrich “Fried Rice” Paulus ,sometimes you forget the guy, but you know him, so you just google the name. Although for the context of this thread, i'd side more on Iron Duke. But then again i wouldn't want to do a huge historical review just so i can ace this game. Anyway, carry on with your game .
