Herbert von Kajan(mispelled cuz I forgot hehe) well the national anthem of the eu, but not his. I mean the writer of the music and not the writer of the text. officially it has no lyrics but I think that peter roland's lyrics are the best. a tip his music pieces are called symphonies.

A ww2 SS soldier who was a critic of the Nazi Party, he was the commander of the II SS-Panzer Korps which defeated the Allies at Arnhem in 1944. This victory was the last for the Waffen-SS. Due to this he was decorated albeit facing the death penalty for the July Plot on Hitler's failed assassination attempt. He also was spared from Himmler's execution list for being a Nazi critic. He was tried by the French for War Crimes in 1945, but got aquitted in 1954. Who was this?

Nice try, but no. Another clue, he was a Nazi critic even during the war.
