Hi
If I buy an item from the shop (e.g. Infantry +2), does it apply automatically to all my future infantry units I will create in various campaigns or I need to add this item to the general and it applies only to the infantry unit which has the general

No, only to the general assigned to that unit, and only when he carries that item.
Also, generals bought in taverns in conquests, and generals you start a conquest or campaign with, cannot be assigned items. Only the ones you buy with medals in the campaign headquarters can use items.

Thank you Pathdoc. So the return on investment of items does not seem very attractive

Thank you Pathdoc. So the return on investment of items does not seem very attractive More expensive items such as Snare Drum and War Horse are worth buying though

Thank you Pathdoc. So the return on investment of items does not seem very attractive I advise you not to sell the items you have already purchased. However, a general with 5 business stars can make transactions without losing money

I buy items, but cheap ones like Oak Wheel Improved Powder for artillery ect.. Saveing for the better ones such as Snare Drum. One thing,if you want to regroup a general onto another, remove any items you want to keep,i lost Bluchers Saber that way.

Thank you Pathdoc. So the return on investment of items does not seem very attractive This is not true - selection of the right items under the right circumstances can be vital to finishing a conquest or campaign battle quickly (as is the art of shifting attack items between generals as they need them). Also, try to save up medals (or spend them wisely if you're paying to play) and only buy the most powerful items for attack and defence. A few other items (e.g. the +6 military camp) are very useful for regenerating health, especially on the high-speed rush for Victoria or Lan where your cavalry general has to go to Spain and might have to take a bit of a beating getting there, but does spend a few turns moving without fighting. One that I would definitely consider is the Armoured Carrier, for when your generals have to cross water; it lets them fight at full strength against onshore units when they are still on the water (and would ordinarily be at a disadvantage). If you're planning on fighting a rapid conquest as France or Britain, this is something you will have to do quite a bit.

Is there a thread dedicated to Items? If so, please direct me to it. Cheers.
