Hi all. Im a beginner on eu4 and currently im stuck at waterloo. I managed to kill napoleon , soult and ney in amsterdam and when i was going for brussels my troops had a morale drop. That happened many times i tried to play waterloo. Food was ok so i dont know what to do. Since im new to the game i dont have generals expect for the game ones.

How many medals do you have? You should be having 1-2 generals by now.

There are 2 guides found here: european-war-4.boards.net/thread/697/all-campaigns-guidesHaving 3-4 average to good gens is helpful. Also, you might've gotten Wellesley (British forces morale drop) or Blücher (Prussian forces morale drop) killed. Their deaths trigger respective morale drops.

never mind it happenes because either blucher gets killed or one of my generals gets killed. the defensive strategy works great. i managed to kill 6 french generals just defending waterloo

You need more gens (good ones) & better gens. Trust me. With Döbeln, Sophia & Kate, I barely won on turn 28. Items used: 1X horse arty, 1X war horse, 1X military tent, 1X snare drum I could not seize Paris in time so instead I defended against the wave at Brussels-Waterloo-Waterloo stables-nameless French city by large fort region. My rockets dealt much needed splash dmg while I held up the enemy, keeping Wellesley in the rear to avoid morale drop from his death. I was able to kill Soult at sea by spamming coastal forts & blocking him. I dealt with Davout by killing off his HP with arty until making sure rockets could splash dmg nearby enemies. Eventually, I could spam 1 guards cav & a fort every turn. You NEED to use arty well, the splash dmg may seem to be minor, but it can be fatal in the long run.

It's the death of Prussian gen Blücher & Brit gen Wellesley that causes morale drop. They are important gens to keep alive as indicated by the red halo beneath them.
