Is it just me, or is anyone getting sick of the fact that when you run out of units to use, you magically get a failure? Especially when you can afford more units. I've lost countless defense missions because of this.

Not for all the missions, only for defense missions like the hold your ground missions or the dunkirk mission. Even though I can afford more units, if the last unit dies I get a failure.

I've never seen this happen before in my missions. As far as I can say to my knowledge, if you keep a unit away from enemies or in a city(oh wait it's hold the ground) where it'll take a while to kill them, I think you'll reduce the chance of failure. Either that, or have a city pumping out units each turn. I believe most of the time in Hold the Ground, you have a second city you don't have to defend.
