I made a post about Italy 1960 and just before posting I clicked (accident) on the back button and lost my WHOLE post!! I worked an hour on it and I am very very very very very upset about it. Is there a possibility about getting it back?

Is there a possibility about getting it back? nope, once it is lost, it can not be retained, you can copy and paste the final material somewhere else(like word in computer or messages in mobile) so you do not lose the whole material.

Probably not. Sorry man. I know how it feels to work hard on something and then misclick and have it all deleted.

Ouch, sorry to hear that,if your browser didn't cach the post then it is lost, but give me a few minutes I need to log on in administrative account mode to make some changes in the site anyways and I will also post how to use a draft auto-save mode.

Turn the option on guys and test it out so you know how it works, that should hopefully add a layer of safety for your longer posts.

That's fine Talleyrand,I just wanted to say that you can post whatever you want, even if someone else posted about what you wanted. Posts can have utility value (ie needed) but you can post just for fun too, just because you felt like it,the forum is for both kind of posts !

I never write my guide on a browser. Most of the time, I did it on other text editors such as MS Word or notepad then copy the content to he post later. Since write a guide can be very time consuming so I save my progress often.

I tested this several times and it seems to work pretty good. This is an emergency feature though it should work most of the time but maybe not in every single potential problem. So proceed with caution still.
You can also do a simple manual back up by long pressing on your post>>select all>>copy ,that will put your post content in your phone/device buffer memory.
