Given the recent Kaiserreich RP which is about to begin, I think it might be fun to think of our own alternative timeline for WWI.
There's already the two major alternative timelines I can think of for WWI:
1. Kaiserreich: Central Powers win WWI 2. In the Name of the Tsar: Entente+Russia and w/o U.S wins WWI
Here are some ideas to start off with for us:
1. Central Powers have Sweden and Italy join the Central Powers in 1915
2. America joins WWI on the side of Germany
3. Bolsheviks 'win' WWI (I.e, expand into Germany, former K.U.K, Balkans, France, etc.)
4. Anti-Colonial Forces 'win' WWI (I.e, get independence)
These ideas can be expanded upon, but I'd like your input on which setup we should expand upon. From there we can create names, timelines, etc.

For some reason, I had thought this was a suggestion thread for the A Century of War RP and on the last sentence, I thought names was memes...
For a second, I thought up of me literally having kings and queens in every country in the A Century of War RP. Jeez, I really need to read more slowly...

Sweden and Italy's inclusion into the Central Powers is quite the interesting possibility.
I would continue by having the USA remain neutral, though the war becomes a long statlemate. Germany, although saved from invasion still has the food and supply shortages it had from the British blockades. The Bolsheviks refuse to hand over produce in light of the civil war. Germany, K.u.K, and Sweden then intervene in the Russian Civil War to get agricultural land.
France would then have a Syndicalist revolution like KR, Germany unable to respond due to the war in Russia. Germany's situation would turn for the worse after the French push back hard, with the Russians landing another blow. The war would end with the Central Powers in risk of revolution, resulting in a treaty liberating all colonial possessions.
The interbellum period would be a period of proto-cold war between the French-led Third Internationale and the Russian Comintern, the battlefield being the former Central Power nations.

I wish to remind everyone we are simply in the process of selecting a premise to base the timeline off of. No need to develop long storylines for now.

I have a sort of idea.
"Of Greed and Creed." (This is the title after the war in the pre-selected timeline which will be a ww2 alt hist after Kaiserrich which I might host one day.)
So in this Timeline one of the major Changes is the PLK. It is still around but is rather small. It holds the Russian Polish area, Modern Lithuania.the most of the northern Prussia area, and North western Ukraine pre ww1.
Alliances: The Outer Commonwealth: of Polish Lithuanian Kosmat, The Kosmat of Greece, Bugaria, Sweden, Serbia, and France.
Central Powers: Germany, Austria, Ottomans, and Italy.
(This is a base idea but I have a lot of plans to host more RPs based on this.)

I definitely like the idea of rebellious nationalities potentially rising up in an alternate scenario, however.

I definitely like the idea of rebellious nationalities potentially rising up in an alternate scenario, however. Well I had a few ideas for how to change it and where it could go A. The Polish Lithuanian Kosmat could be a more so revolution in Germany and maybe russia with support from the above nations. B. If this t'was to be like mentioned above there would have to be a Treaty or a tweaking to history. C. I had the sort of idea to create a sort of universe around the end of the 19th century to modern day setting a storyline developed by players maybe with "separate" games where the timeline continues but with some after effects of every major events. D. The premise of ideologies of different nature is a strong aspect to me. I wanted to create a large portion of nationalities adapting one of 3 ideologies Kosmatism, Fahnism, and Marxism. The idea of Poland to me was the rather the Kosmat/Commonwealth (Poland) making of a Treaty by most nations to separate the powers of Russia and Germany (which could be another cause of ww1 from the rejection on both sides.) Or was a revolution by the poles who are never independent. I am open to any ideas that could change the dynamic and make it better and criticism for stupid things for this.

My scenario:1916 Greece joins central powers making it so that more Austrian and German troops move to other fronts. Bulgaria and greece are able to send expeditionary troops to the ottomans helping the ottomans survive a little longer bring able to take sanai peninsula. In Mexico pancho villa decides to lead his own revolution in Mexico winning and making an nationalistic nation siding with Germany and with German military advisors and u-boats Mexico is able to blitz through central America.Columbia joins the central powers after Germany and Mexico promise Panama back so a joint invasion is launched ending with a blockade of the Panama canal. In Europe Germany starts rebellions in Finland, central asia, poland, and cacasus making russia drop out of the war with the murder of the tsar and the military being useless with so many fronts. The Netherlands joins the central powers for a promise of south Africa being returned.Dutch troops are sent to the western front causing France to start getting mandatory military service because they have to deal with dutch and German renforments from the Eastern front.French troops start refusing to fight causing German troops to reach Paris and access to the English channel.Even with all the bad stuff a new ally is gained the us but if may not be that helpful with a Filipino uprising, Mexico invading from the south,German plan 3 in Boston, and African American revolution in the south for equal rights(supported by germany). The final nail in the coffin for France happeneds when Germany captures Paris and Spain joining the central powers invading from the south.France surrenders and the UK,us,canada, japan, portugal, and Italy are left fighting. The full German,Austrian, and some Bulgarian and Greek troops surge across the Italian border ending with the capital of Rome taken in about a month.Portugal and japan just drop out of the war japan because they see they have no reason to fight and Portugal because they don't want to get invaded like Italy. The united central powers land troops in southern England ending with a British surrender. The us also surrenders after a German seige and destruction of DC and a naval attack on Hawaii ending ww1 on December/23/1921 at 10:37 PM

peter, Greece was impossible to join the central powers for a number of reasons: A) The Ottomans and Bulgaria were the mortal enemies of Greece at this period (Balkan Wars/Greco-Ottoman War). Allying with them simply didn't make sense. Even the pro-German King Constantine I favoured neutrality as the most German-friendly stance he could take. B) It would cause a civil war. The prime minister thought Greece should join the Entente and he was mad with the King who didn't allow him to do so. As a result, he took his supporters and went to the north and formed a new government, while Italy and Britain invaded Athens. They failed, however and they demanded the King to deport or they would bombard the palace. Eventually, he agreed and the prime minister was restored to power. And all of these happened because the King wanted to be neutral. Imagine what would happen if he decided to join the central powers. Also, it is interesting that the war ended in 23 of December. I knew something was wrong about that date.

Remember to keep it realistic. We're looking for maybe one or two changes in the war that could have resulted in a very different alternate timeline.
And again, we just need an idea right now like "K.U.K wins WWI" or "U.S joins League of Nations", not the entire story.

A long statlemate caused by US isolationism results in WWI ending with revolutions all over Europe. The League of Nations idea is interesting though. US inclusion would have given it more legitimacy in world affairs.

A long statlemate caused by US isolationism results in WWI ending with revolutions all over Europe. The League of Nations idea is interesting though. US inclusion would have given it more legitimacy in world affairs. The U.S isolationism is how Germany wins WWI in Kaiserreich tho U.S. isolationism and the breaking of the British blockade. If the blockade remained, the Entente would not have enough manpower or resources to do an offensive into Germany, while the British blockade would ensure that the Central Powers have the same problem. That would result in a stalemate.
