Hello!
Actually I am at Axis Pacific 2 and have finished the Allied Pacific campaign. I always thought of getting Guderian as soon as I could, but now I ask myself if he needs to be purchased now or if he can wait a little bit. I have Manstein, Messe, Yamamoto and Crerar, and I was looking for a good Arty gen instead of Guderian. I have some 2500 medals, and did the -20% mission for Konev. What are your thoughts about this?

Unlock 40% Konev and buy him first. Your gens are ok for that. Manstein is not notably worse than Guderian, so it's better to get art gen which you don't have now. I suppose with such team you 3-star scenarios from first try, but on high HQ levels Konev will be useful for invasions.

Just finished -40% mission and bought Konev. It was pretty easy with Yamamoto, Crerar and Manstein. Looking for skills, the bests are Rumor and...?

Machinist. It is not so desisive for a tank general, but since art units are fragile, it can increase survivability of Konev significantly. Plus Konev will have 3 medals in this case. 2. Terrain bonus. You have Manstein, therefore Plain fighting is probably not the best choice. So mountain/jungle fighting plus medal = 37 additional attack points. Quite a solid option. 3. Explosives. I think it is the best choice. In Modern war missions you have to break defensive lines many times. Explosives works well together with AL and Accuracy. |

If he didn’t have that raider skill, he could be turned into a monster with rumor, explosives and one terrain bonus damage skill... I think he would be my city cracker and Leeb my Jungle (or maybe mountain, who knows?) expert, since explosives are based in % of damage. Many thanks for the pro advice!

He is the best Art general in the game and can defeat all Inf Invasions. Yep just found the library for campaign guides now trying quickly as possible to finish up the last allied campaign |
