Before I started playing world conqueror types of game, I never knew the existence of Manstein, he really should deserve some respect form the west. He isn’t famous as he is not widely known for his bravery due to a lot of his time being spent in the East. He did not get a chance to really get noticed like Rommel by the Western Allies, and his reputation was tarnished in the end because he got fired for disagreeing with Hitler too much in 1944. He was seen as somewhat irrelevant after the war, too close to the Nazis to be trusted, and was adamant in his argument that the Wehrmacht was “clean” and did not commit war crimes, despite getting charged for war crimes under his command. Great general, but he lacked the charisma to be famous like his compatriots Guderian or Rommel. |

To sum up this thread, sure manstein is an op iap general, but he should not be the one you rely on. Rather, you should use him as a supportive offensive general, or in conquests where you need a hard hitting meat loaf, or you have used up better generals like rommel in africa and guderian in europe, and need someone good to mop up asia, then manstein is a sound and wise choice. Shame I have no money though, as I would replace rokossovsky or vatutin with him fully upgraded. Maybe that's why Im unable to break any more wc4 records for speed runs as of now  |

Manstein and Guderian are very similar. You can use both. Manstein himself is notable for being a general with 6 tank stars. If you purchase him, you don’t need Messe.

Yeah, he pretty much carried me through the Europe campaign. Maxed all of his skills and I don’t regret it at all. He is an absolute beast.
I have completed half of the Europe Campaign for both Axis and Allies and I have 1590 medals. Which general do you recommend I buy next? I’m thinking of either getting Leeb and upgrading his abilities or getting Guderian and have the two best tank generals in the game. I likely will be unable to upgrade Guderian's abilities however. On the other hand, I heard that having an artillery general this early in the game isn’t a good idea...

If you cant clear konev's full discount then get leeb first. Then get guderian. With these generals besides In App Purchases you can get the general upgrades in no time |
