But yes, you are right. Rumor is so good that it’s the main reason why I prefer Arnold as a second Artillery general over Leeb. People buy Leeb as a second Artillery due to his Rumor, but he is very expensive to make into a full-fledged OP Artillery general, so I prefer Arnold instead. Just give him Accuracy. And he is also great in Air.

Manstein is a very good general. Great skills, HP, and being on a tank always helps. Too bad unlike guderian he cannot get rumor, as in this game morale matters a lot. He is still the best damage dealer in the game. Plus his insane movement. Timoshenko, MacArthur and Manstein are the only playable generals that have or can have 6 stars in movement. And I wouldn't find myself reccomending Timoshenko or MacArthur. Better tank and infantry generals out there. Being a hybrid doesn't save MacArthur either. It's been said before but if you want to restart you can keep Manstein, and he got me through all the European campaigns easily. Pacific was something else. |

Not thinking at all of restarting, and I don’t even have Timoshenko or MacArthur. But I need advice about buying either Leeb or Arnold as second Artillery. Rumor seems to matter more than good damage in the later conquests, especially in Modern War, which is a reason for me to buy Arnold. However, I don’t know if it is better to have a second Artillery just for Rumor or for a full-fledged OP Artillery.

I’m also unsettled about Leeb because it costs quite a lot to make him extremely powerful. Medals to level his abilities at least to 3, to max his movement stars and to increase his rank to at least Major General.

I’m using Kuznetsov for until I get Nimitz. Rommel 3 still illudes me. Montgomery and his +48% counter damage is brutal. Going to have to play conquest until I get better tank tech.

But if Gerd is being useful, keep him.  |

Would have loved to get Mannerheim, but due to medal constraints for upgrading for NATO/WTO campaign, I couldn't afford.

I use Leeb. He was cheap and rumor is a awesome ability. Knew I would eventually get Konev so I wanted a 2nd Arty general

Yep. That’s why I got Arnold instead. Both him and Erich are awesome. Arnold is the universal support general. Sometimes I use him with donitz where donitz supports arnold with covering him and activating wolfpack, where arnold can better defend destroyer attacks. |
