I have Guderian,Konev,Romel,Nimitz and Rundstedt. I have 2000 medals (soon to be 2800) and im about to start the modern war campaign but I don't know who I should get between Vatutin and Leeb. Can someone please help me with some advise.

I feel rommel is way better, first of all he shares part of his name as mine, though im not german nor european for that matter, and second his crossfire and desert fighting is what sets him a notch higher than roko in most circumstances.

Shelter and Tide of Iron on a tanker is a bit better than crossfire alone imo. But on the otherhand, you can build rommel as a guy to defend cities (max crossfire, rumor, aa, and panzer leader). |

Ye but roko's shelter is rather useless as the AI targets your strongest general as the target of missiles, nukes and air attacks. In this case rokossovsky would rarely be your strongest general you have in mid to late game, and thus tide of iron is rly his more prominent skill, but as you have established wc4 tide of iron is significantly weaker as compared to wc3, thus imo crossfire is a better skill

I don’t like his speed at all. He does hit hard, but takes a long time to reach the frontlines and engage the enemy.

Vatutin is a good (can become great) tank general. Excellent for people that want a good tank general but that can’t afford Guderian or that don’t want to buy Manstein. Even though he is slow, he hits very hard. You can give him Armored Assault and boost his already high damage.

You just need to upgrade Tide of Iron, Armored Assault and Panzer Leader to Level 3 which is quite cheap to be honest. Around 300 medals only for each skill. |

To give you an idea of how great Vatutin is:
If you give him Armored Assault, he is Manstein but slower and without Blitzkrieg.

Also, with lower HP, but once you get to Pacific the rank doesn’t matter that much anymore.
