Its quite cool to see someone whose relative served under a general. My great grandfather might have served under Zhukov I am extremely proud of my heritage, My grandfather left his home land forever when the Nationalist army retreated to Taiwan, he ever saw his mother again. I wish Sun Li Jen would be more strong in the games, but then again he wasn’t as popular as the western generals Sorry to hear that. That’s a really sad story. |

This guy, like most Chinese generals, has potential. Problem being, however, he isn't optimal. Most Asian generals do, actually. I know European/American ones are generally more popular, but it would be interesting to see some love sent towards our Eastern friends.

This guy, like most Chinese generals, has potential. Problem being, however, he isn't optimal. Most Asian generals do, actually. I know European/American ones are generally more popular, but it would be interesting to see some love sent towards our Eastern friends. I agree with how he isn’t optimal. But you can fit him into your main army even if you have the 3 iaps. Even still, the good thing about him and timo is that you can use them on any unit in invasions as they have only hybrid skills. He is no Rommel on tanks or konev on artillery but he can save you quite a bit of frustration. You can also give sun lr the crossfire medal you recieve from the modern war comquest. |

Sun was the General my grandfather served in Ww2 and in the civil war, because of the accusations and false scandals made in General Sun, my grandfather was persecuted. General Sun was in real a legend, known to the west as the most capable General during that period. I’m so glad he is worth getting in this game. He graduated from my school, he was known as the “Rommel of the East”, we have a monument to him and everything. He is a good man, I just wish he wasn’t so squishy off the bat in WC4. He makes the best non-city defensive tank general, again do you need a good defense general for tanks?🤔 At least he has great stars, everywhere. Overall a solid 4/5 |

He is a good general. Just the terrain bonuses aren’t as good in this game as they were in wc3. But if you want a jungle fighter, he is arguably the best choice, or behind Mannerheim. If you give him level 5 jungle and stick the medal on him, he can be quite powerful offensively. |

an interesting generals but lacking enough skill slot to make him into the top five choice of effective price ratio tank .
Pros : Enough mobility to make him into a jungle tank (more jungle is available in Wc4 ) .
Conflicted point : he is in between Valutin and Timoshenko having better damage than timoshenko when invested in that 5* tank upgrades but lack a little in soeed and having faster speed than Valutin but lower damage .
In terms of health , he is on par with valutin and having lower health than timoshenko but he probably can compensate that with jungle reduction .
Cons : he lacking any support skill or tank skill ,making him being less effective to be a support tank (timoshenko crowd and rumor as fourth skill) or heavy damage tank (valutin with armored assualt). I would like to point out that he is also having the weird plain fighting which contradict his position as jungle fighter.
I believe that he is on par with two mentioned commander and also suffering the same issue of lacking a fifth slot ( but i think if they have the fifth slot , the rest two generals would surpass him greatly ) . i cannot think of the best skill to be his fourth slot because he is way to lacking on any skill to be a dedicated role generals .
Rumor give him a support role but timoshenko probably did better .
Armoured assualt would be the best choice give him better damage and his mobility
would allow him to move in the same pace as Guderian .
Blitzkreig would give much survivablity in tank role but with that amount of investment to make him alive and he cannot make enough damage , you better off with That polish - soviet tank generals or someone with higher tank damage

Yet another lonely man. If only I had all the space in the world to buy every general, as well as the medals... At least he has Zhang Z.Z... That’s where you are mistaken, my friend. Sun becomes a beast in jungles with all of his tank and movement stars + maxed Jungle Fighting+ maxed Armored Assault + maxed Crossfire. Give him the Conqueror Medal and he will be great. Better yet, give him the Legion Medal, too, which will increase his Jungle Fighting ability. |

For some reason I think of him as the Chinese Leclerc. Both are tank generals with great potential who distinguish themselves among a faction who has mostly bad or mediocre generals.
