I think it's time to make a complete explanation of Cold War Plot :
1936 : Spanish Civil War have started, Republicans fighting against Nationalists. The Republicans have a big advantage due to the secret French-UK intervention.
French-UK send divisions to help the republicans, Nationalist is helped by Axis but they only send equipment & minor divisions.
Rhenania is remilitarized by Germany violating the Treaty of Versailles
1937 : Guernica happens but with little damage because the Condor Legion was under AAA attack.
USA secretly decides to intervenes in Republican side by give tanks & weapons.
ROC & Japan start fighting each other but they are in a passive position
1938 : Nationalist Spain begin to lost territories including North Morroco & important cities. Franco is killed by a shot in Madrid.
Communists betray the Republicans by creating Communist Spain but they are quickly defeated by Republicans without Soviet Union knows this.
Austria is annexed by Germany. Sudetenland is given to Germany & later, Czechoslovakia is shared by Germany, Poland & Hungary
Mandchukuo is revolting against Japan allowing ROC to get a big advantage
1939 : Spanish Civil War ended with the Republican victory. Third Republican Republic is proclamed.Italy annexe Albania in July 1939.
Poland refuses to cede Danzig to Germany. WW2 started. Poland is quickly defeated by USSR & Germany. Polish government evacuated in London.
Germany succeed to take Denmark but fail to get Norway because General Alexander have reinforced Norway with better weapons & navy.
Germany lost for the first time. Heinz Guderian & Erwin Rommel begin to have some doubt about Hitler
Korea is fighting for this independence. He's helped secretly by ROC & USA
1940 : Operation Fall Gelb have started. Belgium & Netherlands are quickly defeated. Panzer crossed by Sedan & cut a part of the French Army & the BEF. Operation Dynamo ended with Allies evacuating both armys. Before he can speak to the french radio, Petain has discomfort & Charles de Gaulle replaced him . During this speech, he says this "Il ne faut pas arrêter le combat ! Nous allons nous battre partout !". Battle of Paris begin when German forces entered the city. The battle have allowed the French to make the first real defeat for the Germans. Blitzkrieg has failed. Italy finally enter in war but can't even cross the Alps Channel. Italian Navy have more difficulties against the combined French-English navy. Italians attack the Greeks but they are pushed off Albania by Greeks.
1941 : Profiting of USSR weakness, Hitler launch Operation Barbarossa against USSR but at the last moment, he is killed by a soviet spy. Soviets already knows about Barbarossa & start invading Germany & his allies. Tokyo is surprisely taken in July 1941 by Soviet forces. Berlin is taken two months after. Allies & Soviet forces are meeting each other in Berlin. In October 1941, Soviet forces opens fire on allies forces. Soviet begins their assault on Western Europe invading quickly France, Italy & Balkans. Communist China is helped by Soviet forces but they can't make advance due to US-ROC big resistance. North Korea rebels take over South Korea but they don't succeed to destroy completly the SK army who retreating in ROC.
