Anybody else besides Sofia that is particularly good a "fort-cracking"? and please don't say Murat because I can't get him, or any tier 3 generals

It is on your opinion now. The Spy skill increases dammage to static defenses and as you regrouped Sofia I am at a bliss for the time being

Has "spy" but no explosive, which Sofia had both of. Trouble with cavarly they have to get close,so will take damage even from the from small forts. Best would be artillery.

True. And Guards Cavalry is the only cavalry unit that is especially effective against forts.

True. And Guards Cavalry is the only cavalry unit that is especially effective against forts. Personally,i prefer heavy artillery rather than guards cav, yeah they slow, thats why Sofia is perfect for job. Not that Ney is not good at fort busting he is,just not as good any atillery general with spy and explosive,or at least one these skills, thats better as you can stand off bombarding until its rubble. The OP will have to make a decision,on whether to spend 900+ on Ney,drag siege around or both,he had Sofia, seems incredibly foolish to have regrouped her.

Tbh, why get one when you have Sofia? But if you must, get Marshal Ney, he's quite a nice substitute for Murat.

Sulkowski would work, having spy strike, and being a trainer,i would prefer him as a good fort cracker.

Basically, any general that is has an acceptable number of stars in something (except movement) that has the skill spy. They will crack any fort if they are in good units (DON'T PUT INF. GENERAL IN MILITIA, KIDS).
