Hi,
I have been without having bought any generals at all. I thought that I would save the medals, and get Guderian as my first general. So far, I have been making nice progress -- I have 2590 medals, so I am almost there.
However, now that I am at level 18, I see that single general tasks are no more. So, do I first purchase a cheaper general (Messe? who else?) and then wait and get Guderian? Do I wait for Guderian, and then save up to buy a cheaper general as my number two? Do I wait for Guderian, and then save up for a good navy general (on hte assumption that WWII Pacific will need one of those)? Or, something else?
Your thoughts and advice would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks! Probably, You r the one who have collected most medals without a general, congratulations. But i m sure that this make your progress very slow at the same time. U cant get most of the daily missions without a general, Also cant get any of tasks. There r a lot of discussion in this forum about first general, mostly u will see that messe pay back his lost medals easily. U r very near to get guderian, but also stucked i think. Your medal progress will be so slow after this stage without a general. As i said above, cheap generals pay back their medal lost with daily invasions easily. U may sell them when u reach other ones so using cheap generals are not a lost, also bring u a lot of time and recourse, getting your progress more easy. I suggest u to have one tank and one art. General first before naval one. Battles have fought on land, naval units and generals only support your land units from the sea. If i were u, i would bought vatutin, and after leeb. They have potential to be in a final lineup. After that would bought nimitz-guderian-konev-rommel(all with discounts). I m in UN missions and my path was messe-leeb-guderian(sold messe)-rundstedt-nimitz-rommel-konev. But rundstedt is not enough now, i ll get vatutin instead of rundstedt. Thanks to stoic, he convinced me to have a better progress with vatutin, i was thinking about buying graziani or rokossovsky. But they would make my progress more slowly. So at the end, i decided to bought vatutin, why dont u have now? After all, yes guderian is great, best general in game but i think aiming him as a first general will make your progress so slow.

The fact you've gotten that far is amazing. I would really think about scrounging up some medals somehow, because you may have missed some extras like the exercises you may be able to beat, or general battles, maybe even some achievements.. I don't know what you've done but if you can complete hard modes or some really easy dailys I have seen quite a few that can be completed with just tech. I haven't bought leeb messe or vatutin because I min-max my progress. For how much messe costs you get 80% refund for maybe another 2.5k medals you can earn.
