now as you say it, sounds funny. which genrals do you have in your squad? I unlockt Sophia yesterday, she has good skills but only 2 stars in Artillery (too much trainers needed for my taste) I have Golitsyn and Kate unlocked and I'm trying to get Sophia right now i have dobeln, oudinot, golitsyn, ney and grouchy in my squad. I hope i will find scharnhorst some day (maybe).

Don't underestimate Sophia, even with just 2 art. stars she does a "bang" up job! She has Spy and is great at destroying forts. I bought Gazan to give her 3 stars and use the Powder Mixture with her, for conquest play I use only two siege artillery,in campaigns I put her on heavy art. because they're usually there and it gets her into action faster. She was good with 2 stars and even better now,I plan on more stars for her. Shore batteries are gone with one hit,the forts it seems to depend on what country it belongs to. Some small ones it takes just 1 hit,the other two usually need 2 hits. I hit a (gray) fortress recently and got over 200 (220 I think?) damage on first salvo. She also does considerable damage to everything else even with siege arty.
Movement could be a little better but, with the right item that can be overcome. I'm probably going to use some move trainers on her too at some point.
A definite keeper IMO.

If you can get Isabela, she is a stronger Sophia with much more movement

Sophia and Isabela are different. Isabela is just an artillery general, but Sophia is a fort&city destroyer but she has some ability for artillery(plus, why you are using Sophia to attack soldiers? You are killing her!)

Killing her??? How do you figure??? I use her where I need her against what ever I'm going up against. There is no logical reason to not use her if she is near enough. Take the blinders off!

I might be a little bit to over, sorry.
Sophia is the best one for craking forts, but since she doesn't have Accurate, she will have some disadvantage against normal soldiers when not at plains. For Isabela, she is the second top artillery(I don't think anyone could be better than Moreau), but since she has no Spy, cracking forts will be slower for her.
Result: Sophia is better than anyone when cracking forts, but against other units, she might no can do as well as the others.

If I have a turn where I move and the only thing in her range is a fort then great. But if not, I probably won't attack them. They attack her anyways and kill themselves though.

Sophia seems like Murat while Isabala/Moreau seem to be Lasalle.

Murat has Surprise, Spy, Assault Art and War Expert. But still Lasalle seems better in terms of his stars too, since he has 5 star cavalry and 5 star movement. Murat should be placed in guards cavalry, Lasalle in Armored Car. Why do you think Murat and Lasalle are better in different units? What is the difference?

Murat has Spy, but Lasalle does not. Does spy do not work with armored car? It does, but it'll be better to be on guard cav because it deals extra damage to forts.

I find that specialization for killing specific targets is only effective when the army operates as one large group, which (up to and including Suppress Revolution) occurs very infrequently.
