I actually find Archduke Charles to be one of my best generals. I absolutely love that guys, for me he does about 60-70 dmg on average. Or I like him because I went to Austria and visited the Imperial Crypts a few weeks ago and saw his😂 Or I just love playing as Austria in general, which is weird cuz I'm not even Austrian lol. Charles, Lannes, and Brock are my main infantry generals, in order of greatest to not as great

Good analysis, but Nelson is very weak, Dombrowski is very inferior to Radetzky, Napoleon is very weak, Berthier is the best cavalry general in the 2nd tier.

Good Analysis, but it's only by an economic point of view: mostly of the choices are seen just for stars, but that could be easily fixed with trainers. What it really makes a good general are his skills and the sinergy between them. So if you have a general with BUgle, Strike, Ballistics and Banner then it's kinda pointless. ex: Sakurako as a infantery general is wasting at least 2 skills (maybe banner too, but we can't assume that until we are pretty sure what benefit brings the flags use (actually may keep relation with years ruled, idk)). Then Napoleon isn't "quite recommended" over Washington (very useful for cities protecctions and main attacking force) or Poniatowski (i just love him, he is good in everything: i used a lvl1 militia with him for econmy boosting during the 31 rounds campaign, and it take 5 rounds to kill full health Drombowski (one turn lost by his defense art)). So here's mine analysis: Napoleon. Recommended (maybe highly recommended but for a certain mission... but frist i need to get him again :c ) Davout. Split skills not recommneded Wellesley = Washington :/ You be the judge (superior movement than other generals) Nelson. weak VERY WEAK, use Kate or Sidney Lannes. even better than Suvurov, but just by Leadership. Quite Recommended Jervis. as a navy general sucks: economic master can't get the economic boost from a port and sailor gets useless. I only have 2 good strategies for him : As a Costal Fort General in France - Holand for take down english landing and a "Sailor General", but just for the English Channel circuit (UK safety invasion, where he could take London for the boost. Besides, not recommended. Kutuzov. Quite versatile general, his fort make it possible the Sardina 98 and Serbia Conquest. Strong for a main infantery force (but siege master, fireproof and defense art make it a solid Cav/Art/Navy general too, may seems that Formation "blew it up"(you maniacs!) but in Lasalle- Murat- Paget - Poniatowski- Radetzki- Drombowski damage it's just affected by 3 skills, just like navy role ). Almost everlasting xd Radetzky = Drombowski. Anyway they are still being cool generals for -again- main force. (We really need to know how Banner works) Moreau, Murat, Lasalle, Suvurov GET THEM GET THEM RIGHT NOW!! but i am not sure about Murat, my 2guns Lasalle makes more damage than my 2guns Murat, and their fort damage are pretty similar too... IDK it's like spy doesn't works, cause i cant see the difference in their damage. PONIATOWSKI . just like my argument with Kutuzov, but here no skill wasting it all ( besides geogrphy in Navy and Forts) .... It's a 4x4 Lannes, ugh i can't describe him... just AWESOME if you get the trainnig and snare drum if you let him alone for the coquering of a huge country All the rest doesn't matter A. you are obsessed with poniatowski (eg. reading his Wikipedia etc) B. you say the analysis is from a stars not skills point of view and then say napoleon is good. C. your version is hacked

Good analysis, but Nelson is very weak, Dombrowski is very inferior to Radetzky, Napoleon is very weak, Berthier is the best cavalry general in the 2nd tier. Believe it or not, Dombrowski is very slightly worse than Radetsky if you hate flags, as he has banner instead of war master, which can be replaced by items. I personally think that neither of them are worth buying though. Nelson is good on navy, as he can travel fast, good navy and training stars. His real strength is on artillery, as his leadership skill can save him from cavarly, which is invaluable. Plus he can move as fast as Moreau from the start due to his three stars movement. True Berthier is the best, but if you are willing to give Golitsyn a war horse, he will be capable of anything berthier is at his best. Plus golitsyn plus warhorse costs 1/3 of the amount berthier’s final price tag costs. However berthier also comes with 4 stars trade and artillery, and three training stars. He is only good for the ones willing to grind. Although its really just getting diez 4 times and getting agha 4 times.

If you are doing free to play (only 4 generals, Berthier won’t be one for the lineup. Your lineup will probably consist of sophia/victoria, isabella, lan, and some general that does not have to be trained. Berthier is just inferior than any of these options, and you are better of just getting golitsyn and handing him a war horse item. If you have more slots, you can consider purchasing him though.

Radetzky is 4 at business and 4 at training and you also can't upgrade training stars. Would you rather get: 2 cavalry pistols or: a flag and art of war. I definitely prefer choice 1, ok! Nelson is also weak because of banner.

Why not get Pontiawski, who is pretty much Lan 2.0 with geography. Just give Pontiawski a snare drum and he will be a god. Lannes is also severly underrated, as the only to kill him without getting your buttkicked is artillery. You can’t surround him, as his morale won’t drop and he will easily do 50 damage at 1 hp. Plus he can be used on anything. Pontiawski + snare drum is pretty much Lannes with fireproof. Both Radetsky and Dombrowski are just Golitsyn with defense art.

Wait... when is Poniatowski able to crush Dombrowski and Radetzky? After all, Assault Art is just 20% maximum output, good to have but not that amazing. Recommending Poniatowski and Davout as top options to non-s/l players is irresponsible, because you are telling them to buy generals that don’t fit their playing style the best(comparing to others). That’s why I always tell people there are 5 no.1 infantry in EW4.

That’s why I always tell people there are 5 no.1 infantry in EW4. I don’t know. I always though Defense Art was meh, cuz high nobility can be achieved. I also don’t feel safe with it. Poniatowski can be used on any unit and be great. Radetsky and Dombrowski however, can be used only on cav and are barely any better than Golitsyn. I stopped using S/L after getting all the princesses and I still like the assualt art skill, it obliterates enemies when triggered. Moreau, Suvorov, Murat, Radetsky, Dombrowski, Suchet, and Napoleon aren’t really bad generals. But they could all be very easily replaced with non iap generals, Golitsyn for Domb and Radetsk, Dobeln for Suvorov, Isabella for Moreau, and Lan or Savary for Murat. But the closest any general in the game gets to replacing Davout or Poniatowski is Berthier, but even he can’t be used on artillery and expected to perform well. If you are ready to waste a lot of money on iaps, then by all means go for the very best ones such as Suvorov. But if you want to waste as little money as possible on iaps, the Davout and Poniatowski are better options as they are good at everything.
