The thing that I fear if this mod concept is that the mod just had too many factions. I may have to combine them. I will try not to though.
For Gondor, is there any super cav? I was thinking of some more types of heavy knights(I forgot the name, will check later)
I don:t think there is a problem about how many countries are in a conquest; in BJ's WW1 mod I could number 34 nations only in the 1918 campaign, the other years having a similar number. That yould make me think there is no worry about this.
First of all, I would like to know how many nations can be placed on the map. I know that (at least in World Conqueror 3) there a few free spots in the edit where you add a few more countries. I think that is how they made it for Hearts of Iron mod.
I think I was not clear about something. There will 6 conquest years. Not all of these 23 countries will appear in each one. There is no year containing all countries.
If there is the need to combine a few nations, here are some ideas:
- Gundabad and Angmar can get together
- same for Gondor and Dol Amroth
- Khand can be absorbed by Harad
- Vale of Dorwinion can be part of Rhun
- Vale of Anduin and Enidwayth can use same unit models
- the Dwarves of Khazad-Dum, instead of a new faction, can be done as an expeditionary army sent by Erebor (but in the Second Age conquest, we should have a proper state of Khazad-Dum, with its own flag, but same units as Erebor - the second one was not founded yet, neither the colony from Eried Luin; this happened only they were banished by "Durin's Bane")
- in the worst case, Rivendel and Lindon can form one nation, known as " The Hight Elves"
About what nations should be on each conquest, we can discuss. It's clear that there will be 23 nation roasters,.
And about Gondor's superheavy cavalry, you can use, I think, the Knights of the Silver Swan. Initially thought for Dol Amroth, if you want to merge the two nations, you can have them at yhe disposal of Gondor.
I will start thinking on the conquest years, and then we can discuss what to do next.
Thank you for implication!
