I'm a relatively new player, and I need many medals in order to get good generals such as Caesar, Li Shimin, Attila, Koxinga, Nobunaga, etc. I'm currently saving up by going on as many missions AP, but 10 medals a voyage is a bit low to run on. Is there any faster way to get medals? Or do you have to grind through missions?
(Side note: I've only spent 200 medals, and that was to upgrade Alexander.)

Outside of spending real $ there is no way to quickly get the 000s of medals required to purchase the best generals. Top tips: think carefully about the team you want to assemble and don't waste the medals you have on frivolities; and don't neglect Empire Mode - the more cities you acquire there the more free medals you can claim every day. Also the rewards for completing campaigns increase as you progress. |

Conquest is a good last ditch attempt at getting as many medals as possible.
It's just not recommended if you are new though.
Plus, you don't have to gun for the top gens from day 1, try to get the "free" gens Jeanne D'Arc, Babarossa & Saladin first.

I bought Jebe, who is pretty good and I read in one of the forums that he was good. Was that not a good idea?

I bought him at the latter stages of the game and found him very useful because of the continuous kill, discussed in this thread hereIMO he's only worth having if you plan on using an ArchCom lineup, it's the buff from the commanders that justify taking him to the final lineup. |

Yea,but you can farm playing as Greece however,gets old rather quick tho.
