Hi. I made some mistakes in ew4 so i downloaded glory of generals. I just started eastern front and i have only dietrich as a general. This is different from ew4 so what legion mode should i play to get better generals or more medals? And this game has some really historical nom accurate maps and military equipment.

I really liked GoG and GoG Pacific and completed both of them. It's a pity that these games are not popular anymore today. What you need in this game is an excellent tank general, if you still are playing this game. I did it with Vatutin, but the choice is obvious in your case - Erwin Rommel  . Here are best farming methods in GoG1 european-war-4.boards.net/thread/352/farming-glory-generals-gog1I prefer Sicily Campaign, Legion Mode... Just build a defensive wall (you can find a screenshot in that thread), make a save and repeat it time and again |

GoG reminds me of an old game called panzer general and i love that game. Problem with GoG is that i biught Dietrich from the begining and i dont know how to dismiss him and buy a tank general. I passed the campaigns very fast and im stuck in eastern front both sides. Sicily is my favorite too. I played that many many times. Since i cant buy more slots idk how to dismiss dietrich and get a tank general like Erwin Rommel for example 😊 |

Let best75 ask this. He completed these games as well. Been a long time but I think you go to the HQ and tap on the general portrait. The stats of the generals will show up and dismiss button should be at the bottom. I never passed the eastern front for GOG. I passed pacific war but it was with very good generals. |

I remember that long ago I was able to get to Antartica missions with only 2/3 star commander and high level bank. It is one of the toughest ET games. While the legion mode may be enjoyable, it is a long grind.
Regarding OP; I recently restarted it and just finished a 1943 legion with Guderian and got like 140 medals (finished it in 95 turns) but it is a tough one (since Axis are on the brink of collapse). I'd advise playing those which are led by a 4 medals tank general (Guderian, Rommel, Patton, Vatutin), but especially the first two since otherwise you might run out of enemies too quickly. In 1943 you get access to Tigers and this can change a lot of things. Also make sure to spam the good artillery ( the second one with 2-3 range)
Some additional tips:
Get one of the last two generals mentioned in your free slot after upgrading your commander to 3 stars.
Don't bother upgrading any tech besides bank up to level 5 (the others are pretty weak and not that cheap)
Make sure you get 5 stars on the first try on each campaign mission. Unlike newer ET games, in this one you can't get the medals remaining... 1 star-0 2 stars-5 3 stars-15 4 stars-25 and 5 stars-50

I really dont know how do u get 100+ medals on legion. I played and played sicily and the other suggested mods for medala and cant get more than 20 per campaign. I played sicily with rommel, stationed in anzio killed every unit that came to attack for many turns till the end and i got 14 medals .... am i missing smth here ?

That is a big campaign, and it took me a lot of time. Sicily is perhaps one of the better ones (well allied naval supremacy might be a problem but still) and it is a good choice (until you get bored of it). |
