I got ck2 when it was free but haven't played it till recently. It was a bit daunting getting started. I like to ask how I should distribute tittles to vassals?
Should I make many smaller vassals or fewer stronger vassals? Should I be giving duchy tittles?

Counts are best when your realm is very small but large realms need dukes so they can spread technology easier and also its easier to keep fewer vassals loyal.

Remember to download CK2+. The dueling system makes the game so much more fun.

Well that was surprising. I invited a guy with a claim to the duchy of Wessex. I gave him a province so he become my vassal and then pressed him claim. In a normal situation I could not beat England but in this case they were busy fighting the HRE so I was able to defeat England. Not only did my vassal get the 3 provinces in Wessex, he got 5 provinces in across the channel as well. I guess the guy that was the duchy of Wessex before had those 5 provinces as well so thats why my vassal got them.  |
