So sometimes I feel like my generals are kinda useless even though some people would say I do pretty well conquests and campaigns with them, though I actually think they're as useless as a tiny stone; they can be thrown at the enemy, but the enemies have catapults, you see. So I've got Vatutin, Messe, Kuribayashi, Leeb and Nagumo. I'm in the Cold war and I think these guys are not gonna be of bug help here.
I was thinking about dismissing Messe and Kuribayashi and buying another good Tank general such as Rommel or buying Graziani and upgrading him to become an excellent hybrid(seriously, I love that guy).
So what do you guys recommend?

Do you have 40% discount for Rommel? If yes, than he's the best choice now. Graziani is not worth to buy at all. Good tank gen which is ok for art and inf is Timoshenko, especially if you have PF medal. IMO now before selling gens the best choice would be to unlock 40% discount for famous gens (if you haven't done it yet), and than you can get rid of those crappy gens you have. From famous gens you need Konev (he can handle infantry invasions too) and Rommel, Nimitz is good too, but you already bought Nagumo, not worth to spend medals for changing Nagumo to Nimitz, that can be done later. Assuming you already got Leeb, Konev can be bought later.
In general, if you have few medals and you're stuck now, situation is quite bad, but most of all you need Rommel (good and cheap), if you don't have discount, than you need Guderian - a little better but much more expensive. I have bought gens in such order: Timoshenko, Nimitz, Konev (upgraded 2 raider levels for inf invasions), Guderian, Rommel, Leeb. They were my final lineup.

Mannerheim can be a good infantry general, but it all depends on your play style.I would also reccomend you get the discount for rommel.I prefer tank generals so if you are interested, rokossovsky can be very usefull.

Konev with some lv3 raider can handle all inf invasions and when you'll add rumor (which you need when Konev acts as art gen) he'll become stronger for inf.

By the way, is keeping 4-5 generals now a good or a bad thing? I just started Cold War campaign. (like having 2 tank Gens, 2 arty and 1 navy)

Professor Duck, i think the same with 2-3 star commanders but a 4-5 star general can really make a difference

For modern war hard it's worth to have 6 gens, as there any gen with ruomor is valuable.
