Does this game have daily rewards, something like the daily missions in EW5?
I'm almost done with EW5 but I've got too much going on atm to start another all consuming game that's going to take months to finish, I need something I can dip in and out of.

Yes you have. There are a couple of different types of missions that refresh after 24 hours. The 'invasion'-missions for example give you medals and refresh every 24 hours.

The game is still quite tedious though.
You have to log in every day to clear daily tasks & missions to farm resources since it's challenging to get all the required resources outright.
