Guys, this game, much wow, such awesomeness.
It's a pausable grand strategy RTS, kinda like Hearts of Iron but less hardcore (however still takes some time to get around everything). You control diplomacy, production, research, politics, and all this other fun stuff - there's a few eras you can choose from, off the top of my head there's: 1936, 1940, 1941, 1949, 2020, 2020 crisis mode (theoretical post-nuclear conflict scenario). There's a pretty nice campaign, with 1936 Germany, 1936 Italy, 1936 Japan, 1936 USA, 1940 UK, 1949 USSR, 1949 USA. There's also a scenario mode, which is where you select any of the 6 eras and then choose a specific moment or battle, then you select ANY country you want (1941 -> Operation Barbarossa -> Argentina? No problem!) The last one is sandbox mode, which is where you choose any era, pick any country and start up from there. The world map is really accurate, with a colony system in place for countries like British India or Portuguese Timor-Leste. The trade aspect of the game is awesome, and the attention to detail is amazing - while playing as Germany in 1940, I managed to order in some T34/76 tanks from the USSR before I went to war with them before putting them on my front line. The T-34/76 tanks had German markings on them and were the traditional German tank colour, going up against the same tank on the Russian side but with Russian markings on them. There's also a huuuge research tree, which contains things like researching the M103 before the end of WW2, researching the nuke as Germany before the US does or even landing the first man on mars!
Anyway, this game does have multiplayer but cuz Australian internet I can't play it, the game is on PC (made for it) and I'm not sure but it may have ports for iPad/Samsung Tablets.
