So, I've been playing EW4 for quite a while (or just a lot) and now I happen to have three generals, which are Scharnhorst, Berthier and Doblen. I've already managed to fully upgrade the stars that they have their skills tuned to (Scharnhorst is now 5* arty, Berthier is 5*calv, Doblen was always 5* infa) and Berthier is 5* business (god I've spent a lot of medals). I plan on using only four generals (Gotislyn will be the last once I've finished with these three) and so I've been upgrading the move of all three. That being said, is fully upgrading move of any use? Considering i've made it to the last campaign with only these three as they are now? I was wondering if I should just get Gotislyn and focus on items

Yes, Berthier is known for the fact he can move for 6 blocks. You should get sophia and Isabella instead of Debeln and Scharnhorst. Navy and army generals are suggested to buy for poor people like us.

I don’t see how you plan on completing Sun Never Sets without some naval generals. I’d imagine you’ve done a lot of S&L to get to the point that you’re at with the HQ that you have but even with that approach it’s going to be a grind.
I’d get Kate; just for some help in the naval scenarios which make up about half of SNS.
If you’re not running Berthier with a “Quality Saddle” than you’re not maxing out his capabilities.
Also, war horse and snare drum are essential items for all HQs no matter who the generals.
I’ll be curious to see how you do in SNS with that lineup; keep us posted.

Don't get kate until American campaign if you don't have 6 slot.
