Any tips for 2* countries?
I am trying to figure out the best country and the best strategy for this conquest, and here is what I concluded.
Australia
While it has really nice income at the start, it is too far away from the battlefield. If you do not take Bangkok you are going to be in trouble, and even if you do, you will do some nice progress at start, but as the conquest goes, you will be losing everything you took by spammy Chinese and suprisingly strong Mongolians. Not recommended if you don't have really strong gens and maxed tech.
Iran
Nice country, but not for everybody. You will have to send troops to both east and west, because if you don't, then defeat is inevitable. And even if you do, at some point it becomes too much for your economy and you slowly start losing land. And if you don't take both Athens and Istanbul, you won't even have a chance in Western Europe, and if you do, you still won't do much. In the east strong NATO Indochina forces are just too strong for you, and above all there are really annoying Australians and Americans coming from Philippines.
Spain
Way too far from the battlefield. It's possible, but not for people with lack of patience.
Canada
Probably the worst country to try it with. You have to cross two oceans, and your economy won't support it. You probably wouldn't be able to grab any city both east & west, because before you do, Soviets and Chinese will just destroy your already pretty bad units and even if you grab a city, you will lose it soon, trust me.
Poland
Doable with nice tech and gens & patience. I have none of that, so not a good option for me. NATO is just way to spammy for my own taste.
Turkey
Very, very odd strategical place. If you are able to blitz through your enemies on all the sides, you are going to win, but if you don't, you will lose pretty much very fast. Without good tech & gens, don't even try. I did and it didn't finished well.
Japan
I guess it's decent, country I tried the most times to do something, but failed every singe time. If you don't defend your land well, don't occupy ports fast and destroy all enemy units in sea, you are in trouble. And even if you do, there is good old Chinese, Soviet and Mongolian spam that crushes me always. I get to capture Korea, but I am not able to build any decent army there and it just stays that way.
Give me your thoughts, which country is the easiest and what strategy is the best. I am trying to figure it out, but it's just really hard, or just seems that way. Opinions?
