It is at all possible to win in conquest 1950 playing as the Republic of China without any mods? It seems insanely, incredibly hard.

With weak or manageable neighbours, it's impossible to lose. Southeast Asia, Taiwan/ROC & South Korea can easily be conquered. Manage your economy well & nuke Japan into submission if the Japs refuse to die easily. When you're done, repel the North American invaders, invade North America & Australia. If you are unable to blitz through North America, use attrition to slowly gain an advantage & also nuke them into submission. Meanwhile, start reinforcing your allies in the West. Steal a city & heavily reinforce it if possible, or capture one for yourself to gain a base in the West. The rest is now easy to win.

Nobunaga Oda, I don't think he's playing as the PRC. I think he wants to know how to win with the ROC/Taiwan. ;-)

ROC =/= PRC
I wouldn't even dare to try to play ROC, but if you want to, watch the way Bruchminati or WarMaster finished it. You might get nice tips there to do it, I believe.

I think that Nobunaga is referring to an alternate universe where the PRC and the ROC switch places.

I think that Nobunaga is referring to an alternate universe where the PRC and the ROC switch places. I knew that ROC actually became a Gov-in-exile and that China came under the PRC during CWE, but I don't know why I misread "Republic of China" as PRC. Anyways, for ROC/Taiwan, you basically have to enter Shanghai &/or Hong Kong IMMEDIATELY and march West. Or else, (a) Chen SK & other communists come to invade you via an amphibious assault or (b), Taipei gets nuked and you immediately get conquered. ROC/Taiwan is recommended for players with very good tech & gens. This is definitely not going to be as easy as Denmark 1939 since nukes are in play & you have to basically fight a titan from the start (Nazi Germany 1939 begins as a massive "bomb" where gens split up to destroy & conquer nearby countries. The nation eventually grows into a titan but PRC 1950 is already a titan from the start, so that's the difference).
