Maybe it is your techs. The techs will affect all of that unit type so if you didn't upgrade your defense for infantry your gens all might have a bad time.

That could be a valid point except I also have Louise and Wellesley, and they dont die so easily, also his aura buff don't work well unless you have other infrty generals nearby. I'm more into Cavalry 1st and Artillery 2nd,soften them up then strike with Cavalry. Infrantry you have get close and not the way i play.

I just send my infantry to either protect artillery, siege cities, or soften up units for my cavalry units. Cavalry is my main unit for dealing with units. Also, Infantry is cheap, so they're disposable. Militias hitting for 60 more damage because you have 3 infantry generals is great.

Well, you have clearly gone for infranty then cavarly as your path,if that's works for you then godspeed. I have gone a different route, nothing wrong with that, that's what's great about this game.

I agree, you can pretty much go any route and beat this game. There's just a more efficient way of buying the aura generals. You can pretty much finish the game even if there is no order in what aura general you buy, as long as you get them. It is possible to complete this game without aura gens, but i'd imagine it being a pain to do so.

He actually helps the both of them do nice damage

Hit them with Louise first than Massena next. He actually helps the both of them do nice damage Massena by himself is probably not even as tough as Grant. But he is certainly one of the scariest when leading a horde of grenadiers.

But he is certainly one of the scariest when leading a horde of grenadiers. Not able to go past prince to increase BA makes him weak on his own. What happens is when he loses his guard,he will die rapidly, this alone is his greatest weakness But on the upside, being rather cheap,, not too bad. Just don't expect him to be invincible, and have "godlike" power because it's just not there.
