Were they upgraded? Because I have upgraded Murat and Blucher, but no Mahmud. Yes they were. Mahmud is not really necessary as John can handle things alone. There's loads of good terrain for him to use during that mission. You could get by with just using Murat too I think, though that would be much harder. Just did it. It was weird. I just thought “Screw this, I’m going through north” and it worked. |

Maybe I will give Portugal 1798 a try after I get A-rank with a 3-star country in 1806. |

It’s hilarious how after you complete the Russian campaign, you get to play as the Ottoman Empire. They are like “Ah-ah-ah. That never happened. You’re going to lead US to victory, not THEM!”

British Empire is also funny. After playing as America in Declaration of Independence, an eternity later the British enlist you and travel back in time to prevent all of that from happening after realizing you have the power of bringing any faction to victory and reverse previous harmful events to that faction.

Also, have you guys realized how some of those campaigns go through A LOT of time? British Empire is nearly 100 years. From American Revolution to 1860, when France was under Napoleon III.
