I want to buy a guy who is good at the navy. I dont want to waste real money to buy Eisenhower. But the choices are Spruance(America) or Cunningham(Britian)?

If you want the best ones in the game, Yamamoto or Donitz are the best. Mostly Donitz. They are in the Japan and German academies. I don't remember any cheap naval generals. Spruce is pretty good but I don't remember his price. If it's around 2500, Nimitz or Donitz are way better.

Very cheap: Ozawa for 550. 1000s; Cunningham for 1060. 2000s: Halsey(more on air)/Nagano(health/navy stars) for 2060. 3000s: Yamamoto(best navy air, works on army also)/Donitz(more like Kamikaze, best for navy only), both 3100.
I recommend Ozawa for beginning and Yamamoto for endgame. And also, not recommended to have a navy only general, that is the reason I don't recommend Riccardi.

Yamamoto all the way, because he is flexible enough to be able to multi-role,navy army and air. He rocks on carriers and that's the best use of the navy anyways I also use him sometimes as an artillery leader when the navy is not needed and he does pretty good, his movement is speedy too for the normally slow artillery. If that isnt enough he can also be used as a pure air general. That and the massive health,a total package general/admiral. One of my top 5 picks in WC3.

Yamamoto is a very versatile general. I put him on... - aircraft carrier for an obvious reason, - rocket artillery for artillery/air hybrid, - and motorized infantry for a high mobility (yes, 5 hex) pure air general.

I like Cunningham. Same air strength as Ozawa and is the cheapest for a five star. He's also nice if you already have artillery generals and you just need a good naval and air general.

I like Cunningham. Same air strength as Ozawa and is the cheapest for a five star. He's also nice if you already have artillery generals and you just need a good naval and air general. If you've done so much farming for medals that you could be a real life farmer, Cunningham is a cheap alternative to Yamamoto.

Yammamoto or Nimitz both are good but I cant seem to decide Yamamoto, Nimitz's Air star and movement are problems. If you find them too expensive, Nagano can be also a choice.
