Flank from left of right? Has to be left as that's where the objective is. He retreats from Moscow eventually anyways, making it harder to kill him later. I prefer killing him as soon as their morale drops.Try to flank with Militia.

I managed 18 turns for 3 stars after replaying with the same generals. The idea is to swing your main force completely around the left side and come back down for the final southern objective. A backup general like Falsen on artillery can take Moscow. Just build several infantry and artillery pieces to help. This is after things die down around there ofc.
So first just ignore Ney and his friend because Bagration can handle them on his own. Take the weakened level 2 and 3 cities and then go immediately for the western objective. Berthier will have taken your allies' city by now, you can dedicate a couple turns of bombardment to take the city. But as with Ney, just ignore Berthier himself. He will die to normal militia. It'll take a while to get that objective that you were originally headed to. Napoleon will retreat from Moscow as well. So ~turn 13 is a good benchmark. Make a couple of Forced March tactics in Moscow now.
Idk if Napoleon comes to attack you by himself or if I accidentally baited him by building a factory, but he came to retake the western objective. By this point you should have a healthy infantry spam so just surround him and kill him. Your income is more than enough to support a rifleman per round. Meanwhile use your Forced Marches on your artillery and speed down to the final objective. You are going to get spammed here but use brute force to take the city. Units from Moscow and your generals should fork the city and eventually the enemy will submit and you can take the city. I know I couldn't have possibly said city more than 3 times in that sentence.
Make sure you spam effectively specifically for this final trench battle.

bragration can be unlocked here. What's the safest way of unlocking him without getting him killed while he waits on while your capturing the South East cities . I can't remember if it was the objective City when he gets unlocked. Now by round 18 for example he's useless when cuz he'll be beat up. Just wondering. I'd like to use him.

Just directly capture the city to his South & Southwest. Then, you get control of Bagration AND the province he defends. Now, you can stick him on the church in the province for him to recover his HP.

More than likley it's Moscow you need to capture to unlock him,so the swifter the better. What i did is move main force in counter clockwise, defeat Ney and Eugene, while covering Bagration, then split main force, one to Moscow the other to Smolesk where Napoleon will eventually retreat.

When I captured Moscow , just like you say you did. It didn't work out. He just stayed there another 7 rounds. As I was already almost done. It was funny I found him useless in one spot. i had to recapture the city Berthier seized. Then I took one Murat is holding. Thus assuming that unlocked Bragration in the beginning. Maybe Android has something different here.

I had also captured almost all the northwest and that city in left corner above Smolesk and also killed Ney and Eugene early. Maybe a combination of things have to happen(such as Napoleon reteating) Bagration took some damage but was %75 to 80 when he did unlock,so covering him paid off, actually he was pinned by my forces and came in very handy bolstering northern force.

I think that's true now. Getting rid of Ney and Eugene. Then lastly Berither is. I'm quite sure cities are not really key here in unlocking our Bagration.

@rottonapple,Yeah Berthier moves up north quickly and he may be key and not so much cities. It's a tough one,i tried many times and failed, upgraded my tech and generals and last week finally finished with 2 stars. Defiantly one i will wait on to get 3 stars. Did you beat it yet?

This includes the units that they came with. Take them all out. Oh yea i finished this a month ago or so with 2 stars. Recently 3 stars. Thanks to the method posted here. I used Gates on rifleman@ Marquess but his skills weren't maxed. I placed Jourdan on rocket, to capture the first City directly South. along with Wellesley who was still weak I here and there. . Lastly Messena had to assist Gates at Moscow with Falsen on Calvary. Blast helped me after I got control of Bagration. I still only have one artillery general 😂. Just barely I won the 3 stars here.

I got three stars with only the free generals, Massena and Murat. Just spam heavy artilleries.
