This mission took me a lot of time and a lot of luck to complete; ended up following your advice and holding Napoleon back until the rest of my troops landed, but he died trying to kill Hood later anyways. I used Massena (w/ ambulance and 10/30) on the initial old guard . I found that by buying a single ship of the line I could consistently take London 1 turn earlier and never have to face a second infantry defender. Once I took London, I spammed Old Guards every turn and just started marching North with them, while I took Massena, Gates (w/Ambulance), and Jourdan to take Birmingham. Clinton died taking out the British artillery general and my Ship of the line and frigate worked together to kill Hood (slowly but surely he died). I then sent Massena across to Dublin with Jourdan (killed by ships though) and 3 old guard. They took the city on turn 19.
Meanwhile, I continued spamming old guards from both Birmingham and London, and riflemen from the city under Glasgow and just overwhelmed Glasgow. I used Gates to focus the enemy Cavalry while my old guards just surrounded the city and attacked it. On turn 20, I had to attack and then disband just about half my army (once they attacked they were taking up space so disbanding allowed me to get more attacks in) in order to capture Glasgow by turn 20. What a mission!

I got 1 star.I used 3 Free generals(not Clinton) and Karl and Massena.I takes me too much tume to take Birmingham

I'm took everything no problem with the free gens and Blucher but I didn't realize I had to take Glasgow.

 London fell extremely easy and I swarmed Birmingham and Dublin, I totally ignored hood as he can't take cities with his ships, and by the time I realized Glasgow was a target it was round 25 with me having a huge army and Blucher still alive |

I've managed to finish this mission 2* for now. I'm using 4 free generals from USA and Canada + Massena (Both Jourdan and Massena have ambulance). My strategy is in the first turn unlock Old Guard tech, then move all land units to land on east side of London (put Jourdan, Massena, and Falsen on respective existing units). It should fall at turn 4 or 5. After that, I marched straight onto Manchester, completely ignore Birmingham. Spawned some Old Guard for the rest of generals, then start spamming either Line Inf or Grenadier (or Old Guard). Hood should docked nearby, so kill him using Napoleon and Jourdan
After Manchester fall and Hood killed, all generals goes for objective in the north, while inf and art spammed from Manchester and London goes straight to Birmingham. Fill the spot in front of Wellesley straight away, and start bombing. Dublin? Welp, take the northern objective, then take whoever remaining, and build one ship if your initial ship destroyed, there to go straight toward Dublin. I took position right between Dublin and the port nearby, then landed Jourdan. And that's it. Dublin should fall in 2 or 3 turns.
If I have higher tech and better general, this strategy could be executed faster

what i did is simply spam Blast tactics. Birmingham with lv2 academy can blast dublin

I wouldn’t stress about 3 starring it yet, you should keep pushing into the russian campaign if you have tons of gold even after upgrading your russian tech. |

The Russian tech is enough to 3-star this mission, right? I think you need the mobility that comes with the british tech. I wouldn’t stress about 3 starring it yet, you should keep pushing into the russian campaign if you have tons of gold even after upgrading your russian tech. Knew it, Infantry and Artillery are super slow in the beginning... |

Finally managed to 3-star this mission and collect that sweet reward! Looks like buying Blucher was a good idea, after all. His help together with Murat made completing this thing possible without British Empire tech.
