So as we have seen this latest game has got quite a lot of new players and one of the most confusing thing in the beginning even for me back when EW1 was a thing was a bit confusing, a lot has changed since and most players won't go from game to game to play thru conquests and understand the evolution of conquest mechanics...
First of all, country selection:
Countries are split into 3 parts, 1)* countries are minor countries with low income and small army, but currently some of the easiest conquests are with * countries, 2)** countries regional power, which can easily defeat a * country and that can be a big threat to *** countries because of their resources and army size, 3)*** countries regional super powers with largest resources and largest armies, if you play as such you may have to fight against all of the enemy AI at one point as the size of country you have will change the AI behavior.
Second of all, Resources:
There are multiple types of resources, 1)gold(money) which is very important as it allows you to buy units, 2)industry which allows you tu buy more advanced units anddrop 3) population, which will determine how many units you can have until you get an income drop
Third of all, Goals:
Your goal is to take out all enemy countries by capturing all enemy cities.
Fourth of all, defeat:
You will be defeated if all of your cities are occupied.
Fifth of all, tactics:
As you may know there are morale boosts/decreases for each unit, if you have units forming a sandwich with enemy unit in the middle it will lower morale for it by 1^, if you encircle enemy unit morale for it will drop by 2^, if you destroy an enemy unit you will get a chance for morale boost, some generals, events and wonders has the same effect.
Sixth of all Generals they boost the unit with their stats, generals can be bought by medals in the campaign/conquest menus.
Seventh of all Princesses:
Princesses boost cities and region around them, to use them your city must have a palace, every princess will have her own effect.
Eight of all, wonders:
To every country has it's own, if you capture a region that has them you can fix them and use their effects(this was explained un the tutorial)
Ninth of all, tech tree:
If you check a city you can see a blue square in its menu, it contains tech tree for conquest, you can upgrade your tech with your resources, wether or not it us worth doing so depends from your gameplay style, if I play as Russia I will upgrade everything artillery related as artillery is the best unit type as of the moment of original release.
Anything else I should add? Comment bellow
