I have 3300 medals and my generals are Ozawa, Badoglio, and Vatutin. I haven't upgraded the 3 free generals exept for one who has 2 stars on armoured. I unlocked the first alien mission and I still have to do some conquest and silver-gold mission fro which I can get more medals. Now my question is: what do I do with those medals? Should I get an expensive tank general like Guderian or Patton or an expensive artillery general like Konev? Or should I get Govorov and another cheap general? Or just upgrade the ion cannon? (mine is level 2) Also with tecnology what do I have to upgrade, is it woth to build the medals spam wonder? This question is reserved for those who already finished the game or are at an advanced point but anyone can answer. Thank you

You need the Medal producing Wonders, unless you intend on buying all required Medals using IRL cash. First of all, the Ion Canon is most useful at high lvls. This means that you may need to keep investing VERY costly amounts of Medals to make the Ion Canon very relevant. So I'd recommend you ignore this feature or at most upgrade it to 9 turn cool down between each shot. Secondly, the forum recommends a 3-3 gen line-up: 3 tank gens & 3 arty gens. You can keep Ozawa if you want, but some even more experienced members may advise otherwise, this is up to you. Then you have to ask yourself this, how do you intend to use your ECs (Eye-Covered gens), if at all? You can use a pure Academy gen line-up (Guderian, Patton, Vatutin, Konev, Govorov, Badoglio, Ozawa) or you can use a mixture of Academy gens & ECs. Third, you have to consider the Leonid Govorov debate. Some say his speed is so horrible, they'd prefer alternative gens or ECs to do the job. Some keep him for his high firepower. You CAN make a choice here. You can choose to use 3 tank gens + Badoglio + 2 arty ECs, OR 3 tank gens + Badoglio + Govorov + 1 arty EC. (Ozawa is optional & in second combination, you can ignore 1 EC in final line-up). Fourth, consider your tank line-up. Do you want to use a Guderian + Vatutin + 1 tank EC line-up or a Guderian + Vatutin + Patton line-up? The EC is the most flexible gen & can be one of, if not the most powerful tank gen but you need to use a lot of Medals to train the ECs to strength.

As for technology, try to max out arty & tank, then obtain as high a aircraft tech as possible without upgrading your paratrooper from a PMI (para-Motorised inf) to a para-commando. The PMI can be used as speedy guerilla fighters behind enemy lines or used to cross long distances to destroy &/or capture cities.
However, focus on rapidly increasing these tech AFTER you obtain your 3 Medal producing Wonders. The 3 Wonders can seriously burn a hole in your pocket.

I also have a question: how do I sell generals? I ask because I’m planning to sell Govorov for Konev 1) Make sure you're 100% certain about your decision. 2) Make sure the gen you want to sell isn't deployed on a mission. 3) Go to HQ, open up the screen showing the stats of the gen you plan to sell & tap on the Sell button on the bottom right of the stats page.
